01/29/10 - Just checked the status checker at Wake Forest. It's been changed to "Congratulations!" I assume that means I've been admitted. A good way to start the cycle!

02/01/10 - Just checked the status checker at William & Mary. Under mailings, "Congratulations! Admit packet sent." I'm surprised to hear back so quickly. Awesome.

02/01/10 - Letter from W&M when I got home. Offered a fellowship! $10,200/yr $4,000/yr stipend!!

02/05/10 - Letter from Maryland, I'm in!

02/11/10 - Waitlist at Minnesota via status checker. No bueno.

02/18/10 - "Hold for Second Review" via status checker at UIUC which is a fancy way of saying waitlist.

02/22/10 - Email from Ohio State, I'm in!

02/23/10 - Email from UVA - Rejected - Not surprised at all, I only applied because of the fee waiver. No miracles this year.

03/01/10 - WF sent me an email saying I had been given 30k/yr followed by an email saying that was an error. That was an interesting 5 minutes...

03/01/10 - OSU gives me 11k/yr!!

03/05/10 - In by email at W&L!

03/08/10 - Withdrew from WF today. I just couldn't see myself there after my other acceptances.

03/11/10 - In via status checker at Tulane!

03/15/10 - Waitlisted at ND. I should have done the Why ND essay...

03/15/10 - Totebag from Tulane! $25,000/yr scholarship!!

03/16/10 - $24k/yr at W&L via snail mail!!! Looks like I have some tough choices to make.

03/24/10 - Waitlisted at Fordham via status checker - No worries; I have better offers from better schools.

03/24/10 - Decision rendered at BC. Here's to hoping...

03/24/10 - Withdrew from Maryland after admissions made it clear I would not be receiving a scholarship.

03/29/10 - Accepted into BC!! I thought I was going to get waitlisted for sure.

04/08/10 - Rejected at Cornell via snail mail. Not surprised.

04/15/10 - Withdrew from W&L, BC, Fordham, and Tulane.

04/21/10 - Withdrew from OSU. Looks like it is going to be W&M barring something very surprising.

04/28/10 - Sent in my deposit to W&M! I'm relieved this process has come to an end.

05/03/10 - Waitlisted at UNC and IU.

05/07/10 - BU sent me an email asking why I hadn't responded to the waitlist offer they sent in March... I never received anything... resent waitlist offer and I withdrew.

Hey! I got my scholarship offer from Wake by email probably 2 weeks after my acceptance letter came in the mail. So hang tight!
