Additional info & updates

Georgetown's a preferred waitlist. Not the preferred preferred.

03/25 - waitlisted at W&M. Somewhat discouraging but they appear to be waitilsiting everybody in this batch.

03/27 - rejected at American! This is odd and worrisome.

03/27 - I think I'm rejected at Minnesota. If they accept you they call, if they waitlist you they show it in the status checker. My status check says "Decision Letter Sent." Apparently they place great stress on the "Why MN" essay; I don't quite recall writing one.

03/31 - I AM rejected at Minnesota, and Penn too. As a general matter I don't freak out over things but these rejections are particularly non-troubling; Minnesota's been less splitter-friendly (and just friendly in general) this year, and I neglected to write a Why Minn essay, and Penn I really had no chance with.

04/06 - Held at WUSTL, which supposedly is a little better than being outright waitlisted.

By the way, what's an index?

we look a lot alike.

I was overly optimistic about W&M. Also, I wanted to stay relatively close to home. I applied to a few farther away schools only because they waived the fee. Good luck brother.

I received my acceptance letter from W&L on March 3rd in a deceivingly small one page envelope. I haven't received anything from them since that one page letter re: scholarship, which is annoying considering seat deposits are almost due. It's looking like ND is the better option, goodluck!

Wow, good job on the Georgetown waitlist. I got rejected last week. What school are you leaning towards? Good luck!

UVA

Sorry to hear about UVA, did they e-mail you to let you know?

Looks like we must have received a similar email from W&L... congrats it sure did take a while

Shoot me an email...

Shoot me an email if you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few things (we shared a similar undergrad experience at the same school). I scored equally obnoxiously high on the LSAT (178) with a lower GPA. I'm very surprised by your cycle. Being as poor as it has been.

Thanks

Turns out you were right about GW. Congrats on W&L as well. Here's to hoping both schools bounce back in the rankings next yeat.

Questions

I have a low GPA like yourself, and I hope to score a high LSAT to compensate. How did you find the application process (on a scale of 1-10, 1 being the most discouraging, and 10 being the most encouraging), for someone with your scores? And where did you end up going?
