Additional info & updates

2/1 - Got the e-mail from Tulane today with a scholly offer of $30,000 per year with a 3.0 GPA stip. Also received my scholarship offer from GWU for $20,000 a year with good academic standing. This has been an unreal cycle. Adjusted scholarship amounts to three year totals since that seems to be the preferred reported amount (Pitt is approximated since it's full tuition).

1/26 - UT offered a scholly of $15,000 a year merit scholarship with in-state tuition. Better than what I expected, so I'm happy about it. I'm hoping to get some need-based aid as well. Still waiting to hear back from GWU about scholarship money. Hoping to use it as leverage to negotiate with UT for more money possibly. Pitt Law is still enticing because it is hard to turn down a full-ride. I'm withdrawing my app from American. They only offered $7,500 one-time for the first year. Barring an extremely unlikely full-ride at GWU or SMU, I'll probably go to UT. Good luck to everyone else!

1/18 - Got the call from UT today about my acceptance. Extremely happy because I thought I was an auto-ding there. Heard about getting into George Washington yesterday. Those were my two reach schools, so getting into both is basically surreal. No scholly info yet, but this has definitely given me a lot to think about.

University of Pittsburgh offered me the K. Leroy Irvis Scholarship which is full-tuition. I'm pretty stoked, and will probably end up going here, but I am waiting to hear back from the other schools before making any decisions.

Hello, Congrats on UT! That is my dream school. We have a similar lsat score and I'm waiting on a decision still. Would you mind telling me if you had any extreme factors in your application that may have helped you? Also, would you mind telling me what URM you are? I'm a Mexican-American male with a 160. Thanks!
