Hey my husband is in the army too! Small world. As far as the LSAT, I would be a bit wary about taking it next month if you haven't studied at all. It kind of depends on how you do on practice tests. Some people have a natural propensity to doing well on the LSAT. Do a real LSAT practice test and see what you get. I've been studying for three months. I started with the Princeton Review LSAT book and have moved on to actual LSATs. You can buy them at the bookstore. They have books that include 10 tests each, BUT they're older tests. So I did all those and then I ordered the newer tests from LSAT. I hope that helps!
Well, I probably should have done a completely cold PT which I didn't. I studied for probably two weeks before I ever took a PT. But, the first PT I ever did was a 165. I've scored higher on every subsequent PT I've taken, my highest being a 176. Typically, my PT's tend to fall between a 169 - 172, but this is usually because of differences in scoring. My raw score is usually 90-91.
Oh, and as far as waiting to take the test in December, I think you could benefit from it, even though your apps will be late. Have you considered taking an extra year before applying?
So, how was the October test? How did you do?
I'm trying to decide if I want to keep my February 2011 test date or not. I haven't taken it yet. I'm just so nervous about my low gpa that I'm letting it ruin my prep for the LSAT, lol. I hope I get over it soon.
Thanks! You too. 2nd round seems a little easier and refreshing. Hopefully I can get my LSAT up a little and I'll be good to go.
