Additional info & updates

August 26, 2010- I am going to take the LSAT on October 9th

September 15, 2010- I am overwhelmed and nervous about the October LSAT. I haven't been studying much because my husband is being sent to Afghanistan very very soon :( I REALLY want to get into law school (Southern University in particular). I really hope for a miracle to happen. Definitely crossing my fingers and toes.

September 19, 2010- I changed my LSAT date to December 11th. I am not ready to take it on October. I hope changing the date doesn't ruin my chances :/ I already registered with the CAS. My transcript has been received and one LOR has been received as well. Currently waiting for lsac to receive my 2nd LOR. Both letters were written by attorneys.

September 22, 2010- My 2nd LOR was received and is now in the system. I ordered 3 books from the lsac website...two of the books are the last 2 LSAT. I've been studying more often. I hope my score improves.

October 20, 2010- Although I am going to take the LSAT on December 11th, I am sending my application via mail to Southern University. I am currently working on my personal statement to send them. Please wish me luck . SULC is my first choice.

December 5, 2010- Decided to only apply to SULC since I already sent in my application. Only a few more days until I take the LSAT. I am super nerves. I don't think I am going to do well, which is why I decided to not even bother and apply to other schools (considering my GPA and all). I still hope I have a shot at SULC. I hope they look beyond my numbers. Praying for a miracle!!!! Next time I write on here will be after the LSAT!!! Wish me luck.. I REALLY need it :/

December 11, 2010- Glad the LSAT is over!!! I was super nervous yesterday and when I got to the test center. I know I did okay on the logic games (which were 2 parts, not really sure which one was the experimental one) but I know I didn't do well on the rest of the exam. Now I have to sit and wait until January 10th, 2011...that's when I get my score emailed to me. I am soooo nervous about it :/ I already sent Southern an additional letter to consider me. I PRAY I get into Southern. I REALLY want this. Ughhhhh :/

January 15, 2011- I did HORRIBLE on the LSAT. I decided to only apply to 2 schools since my chances are zero. This is definitely the worst feeling ever :( I REALLY REALLY want this.

February 17th, 2011- So I decided not to apply to other law schools. My changes of getting in are absolutely none. I think I'm going to try and get into a Master's program and see how that goes. Good Luck to everyone else this cycle.

April 9th, 2011
So I still have not heard back from SULC :/ somehow I was hoping to miraculously I got accepted. I called 3 times to ask for the status of my application. I was told that they are still reviewing applications. I REALLY hope I get in even though I know most likely I will not. Good luck to everyone else though, and congratulations to everyone who has gotten acceptance letters.

Thanks! You too. 2nd round seems a little easier and refreshing. Hopefully I can get my LSAT up a little and I'll be good to go.

Thanks!

Hey my husband is in the army too! Small world. As far as the LSAT, I would be a bit wary about taking it next month if you haven't studied at all. It kind of depends on how you do on practice tests. Some people have a natural propensity to doing well on the LSAT. Do a real LSAT practice test and see what you get. I've been studying for three months. I started with the Princeton Review LSAT book and have moved on to actual LSATs. You can buy them at the bookstore. They have books that include 10 tests each, BUT they're older tests. So I did all those and then I ordered the newer tests from LSAT. I hope that helps!

Well, I probably should have done a completely cold PT which I didn't. I studied for probably two weeks before I ever took a PT. But, the first PT I ever did was a 165. I've scored higher on every subsequent PT I've taken, my highest being a 176. Typically, my PT's tend to fall between a 169 - 172, but this is usually because of differences in scoring. My raw score is usually 90-91.

Oh, and as far as waiting to take the test in December, I think you could benefit from it, even though your apps will be late. Have you considered taking an extra year before applying?

So, how was the October test? How did you do?

I'm trying to decide if I want to keep my February 2011 test date or not. I haven't taken it yet. I'm just so nervous about my low gpa that I'm letting it ruin my prep for the LSAT, lol. I hope I get over it soon.
