I don't really feel like I was a strong candidate for Michigan. I think it was really the fact that I applied early decision, sent it in before November 1st, and I wrote a "Why Mich" statement. If we have similar numbers, you are pretty much a lock at Georgetown. Shoot me an email for more specific info!

When I was first accepted, they offered me a decent award: somewhere around $20k total. I submitted a request for more money, including a copy of my Emory award letter. They replied they would not be able to offer any more. I committed to them, and then out of nowhere in the middle of july I received a letter saying that they upped my award to $45k + in state status. Not sure how I got the extra, but I would definitely recommend asking for more if you get an offer that isn't huge.
