Additional info & updates

12/11/08 | All applications sent via LSDAS

01/13/09 | Ohio State University
Dinged via letter.

01/15/09 | New England School of Law Acceptance
Notified via phone call that I was accepted into the school and that an admissions packet was to follow shortly in the mail. Later received scholarship information under separate cover.

01/16/09 | Duquesne School of Law
Returned phone call to the dean left on 15 Jan and was informed that I was accepted with admissions packet to follow.

01/21/09 | Ave Maria School of Law
Admissions packet sent in the mail. Packet contained scholarship information.

02/09/09 | American University
Dinged via letter.

02/13/09 | Cleveland State University
Received invitation to admitted student day BEFORE getting letter of acceptance. Phoned the school and was informed that I was indeed admitted to the university. At last! A T3 school!

02/21/09 | George Washington University
Dinged via letter. Was my biggest reach school and wasn't expecting to get in, but it was worth a shot with my GPA at least.

02/21/09 | Pace University
Admissions packet sent in the mail, containing scholarship information.

03/07/09 | Case Western Reserve University.
Dinged via letter. Was also a rather insulting letter that basically insinuated that they weren't taking me because of my LSAT but if I want to transfer there for 2L I'm exactly the student they want as LSAT/UGPA doesn't matter as much anymore. Unamused.

03/21/09 | Penn State University
[approximate date] Waitlisted. Not surprised, but at least I'm considered for a T100. Not totally sold on State College, though.

03/21/09 | Pepperdine University
[approximate date] Dinged via letter.

03/27/09 | Decision Made!
After the ASD for Pace, it made my decision clear this was where I wanted to go. The communal atmosphere is exactly what I'm looking for in a school. And, too, given all of the opportunities for International Law, they are the best choice out of where I was accepted. It sucks to be one who doesn't test well as it really narrows your choices. And even including an addendum that said I'm not a good test-taker [with years worth of data to back it up] it didn't make that much of a difference. So off to Pace I go in the fall! I'm excited. :^)

CSU Student Day

Hey, are you going to the CSU student day on 3/28? I was thinking it'd be fun to try and connect with people who are also on LSN on that day. Drop a line. - AG3

hey, congrats on your decision to attend Pace... I was also at accepted students day and it made my mind up, pace is where ill be in the fall as well:) International Law is also what im interested in and after hearing all the opportunities available for study abroad and clinics and externships Im very excited and confident that Pace will be the best place. (LSAT also narrowed my options seriously, oh well, well just have to kick ass at pace ;) )

Hey, Yes, I was at the admitted Students' Day on March 22. I was really impressed with Pace a lot and it's probably at the top of my list, but I have a couple of tough decisions to make in the next couple of weeks, so I'm not quite yet sure what I'm going to do. Yikes!
