Additional info & updates

So basically, my application process consists of sticking pretty close to the east coast, as well as applying to places that my fiance (who is a current 1L at UMiami) and I can realistically see ourselves settling down. She's from Maryland, I'm from Florida, and we met halfway in UG in North Carolina; all of which explain my choice of schools.

10/9/09- sent in my first app, to UM!
10/12/09- Catholic app sent in, waiting for my two other LOR's to come in.
FIU app sent.
10/28/09-app sent to Elon
11/11/09-app in at UBalt
12/9/09-waitlist at UBalt (never received an email or correspondence of any sort, I found out by calling to check on my status),
-on Hold at UM. Hand delivered a LOCI and had an extra LOR sent to UM Admissions.
-Complete at FIU, just waiting on their decision. Because of their growing reputation and in-state tuition, FIU is probably neck and neck with UM as a top choice.
12/10/09- decision letter mailed for Catholic, via status checker
1/21/10- Still waiting on FIU and Elon, anyone heard anything from them?
2/2/10-Came home to a big, white envelope from FIU and my eyes lit up as I tore it open...only to discover that it was a 2009-2010 Academic Catalog, what a cruel joke. Status changed on Elon checker to Under Committee Review.
2/9/10-In at FIU! Huge relief to finally get an acceptance.
2/13/10-In at Elon via e-mail, status checker was also changed.
4/22/10- Huge surprise this morning: accepted to UM. I had all but counted myself out at UM since I was put into the Hold category several months ago. 2 seat deposits sting, especially since I had already sent a deposit in to FIU Law, but I don't think that I can pass this opportunity up.

I wanted to let you know that we are applying to a few of the same schools so good luck! Also I visited UB recently and I really liked the vibe and students there.

Hey, I was also waitlisted at Baltimore. The website says they will begin admitting waitlisted applicants in mid-July, but that seems crazy! Have you heard anything differen?
