December 2008 LSAT -- first and only. I decided I was ready to go in 2009 as opposed to applying ED in 2010 or even just early in the cycle. Applied before fee waivers offered for most schools. Minnesota mailed me a check by way of refund

4 LOR, none academic

LSDAS GPA is the result of high school dual enrollment credits through community college. 2.85 represents all grades after high school. Graduated in three years. 2.2 first semester, hovered around 3.0 every other semester.

Same Personal Statement sent to every school. Completed optionals for NU, UMich, BU.

Additional info & updates

One more spot available at some schools today. Best of luck to those waiting!

I hope this provides insight (read: optimistic speculation) into the process for people waiting or those in future cycles.

$ represents 3 year total. Withdrew from GMU before $ offered.

Withdrew at Columbia because 1) only applied with fee waiver and chances were nil and 2) freaking Dean's cert. requirement: waste of time in my opinion -- does the diploma not count?

"On Hold" at NU. Per letter "you will be accepted or placed on our waitlist at a later date." I did not interview. Withdrew after serious consideration of flying in for a visit and interview. Personal decision made reluctantly.

Withdrew from UVA for some educational diversity and I didn't expect to be accepted from the waitlist. No use padding the waitlist rolls.

I had at least 3 traffic tickets I disclosed to GWU - don't be deterred by that gratuitous addendum. I think GMU required it too? Don't be deterred.

Final decision: Washington & Lee and their third year reforms. Capital Clearinghouse Clinic, student/faculty ratio, small class size, guts to go all in on the reforms, 20% of students clerk, and they wanted me. They responded quickly after I went complete and offered some money. I feel good enough about the program to bypass the hassle and stress of waiting out waitlists - not to mention the cost of seat deposits. Again, it's a personal decision, but I asked myself would I hands down go to one of the waitlist schools if I was outright accepted or would W & L still be in the picture? It would be, so I'm going there. I'm not convinced the opportunity at the others is wildly greater.
