Additional info & updates

4-16-07 Called Villanova today to check my status (based on a thread from LSD where people said they called and got their decision over the phone) and was told I am admitted and the letter is going in the mail tomorrow. Curious to see the financial aid package, but I will be withdrawing shortly unless by some miracle it ends up being cheaper to attend than Rutgers....

4-9-07 Mailed my seat deposit to Rutgers, so excited!

4-4-07 Withdrew from all accepted/waitlisted schools via email today. I know that I "unoffically" withdrew from some that had 4/1 deposit deadlines by not sending a deposit, but I still wanted to thank the committees officially. However, I am not withdrawing from Villanova or Penn because I paid and I want my decisions. So I am set on Rutgers, barring an acceptance with an awesome financial package from Villanova or an acceptance at Penn, neither of which is likely.

4-2-07-This past Saturday was Dean's Law Day at Rutgers-Camden, and this day solidified my desire to attend. I was very impressed, to say the least. So I will be withdrawing very shortly from my other acceptances/waitlists (and for some the deadline was 4/1 and I didn't send a deposit, so that is pretty much a sign that I am withdrawing, but still, I will send an email thanking them for the offer etc). As far as Villanova and Penn, I paid them so I want to hear my decisions. Unless Villanova comes through with a great financial package or I get accepted to Penn, either of which is highly, highly unlikely, I will be attending Rutgers-Camden. So I am listing my status as Attending.

3-29-07-My dad also informed me that I am waitlisted at Temple, via snail mail. Kind of disappointed, especially because I received a fee waiver. But it really just hurts my ego more than anything else, because I am really excited about my acceptance to Rutgers-C, and am almost positive that is where I will be attending. Still curious to see my 2 remaining decisions at Villanova and Penn....

3-29-07 I am not sure if I misinterpreted my call from the Dean at Rutgers from the other day..But today my dad told me I got a packet about Dean's Law Day via snail mail. But there was no info about deposit deadline, so I am assuming this packet is different from an acceptance packet (which I as assuming I will be picking up on Saturday). Anyways, I am really excited.

3-26-07-I called Rutgers-C to see when I might be hearing my decision. I was transferred to the dean, who tells me I am in a group of people who will be admitted if I attend the Dean's Law Day this Saturday. She says an email will be coming. She says it has to do with the fact I applied pretty late, so now I am kicking myself for applying late! Oh well, I will definitely be attending the Dean's Law Day, so I am putting my status as accepted. Anyone else in this same situation? I have never heard of something like this before, but I guess it means if you are in the group they want to admit you if you show enough interest to go to the Dean's Law Day...

3-22-07-Holy crap! Out of the blue I am offered 2 scholarships from U Balt, making it full tuition renewable if I maintain a 3.25. Anyone know the curve at this school? I was going to withdraw, but this offer is so tempting, I am confused right now! I am putting it at $31,150 based on the cost of tuition listed on the website for out of state times two (they list tuition by the semester).

3-05-07 Status checker changed at UBalt, I am in!

3-01-07 2/2 today! Phone call from Drexel, I am in! So excited!!

3-01-07 Acceptance via snail mail from Widener. My first acceptance! Yeahh!!!

2-20-07-Received notice via snail mail from Maryland of being placed on the preferred waiting list. Not sure exactly what this means, because my sister told me over the phone...

In response to your query... I received an email from Drexel inviting me to accepted students day. This was followed by a letter a few days later which included the scholarship information Best of luck on the cycle.

You should try and negotiate with Drexel for a higher scholarship. Your GPA and LSAT are both excellent and you deserve more $$.

You should write Drexel, letting them know about the Baltimore offer. That is a great bargaining chip. Congrats on another awesome offer!

Congrats on Rutgers

I am also attending Dean's Law Day, though I was not informed of conditional acceptance. Congratulations on your acceptance! BTW, in case you don't get the paperwork in time - you need to read Regina v. Dudley and Stephens for the mock class. It is available online. See you there!

Carl Pavano is a horrible opening day starter for the Yanks. Where's the pitching this year?!
