Additional info & updates

*Scholarships are 3 year totals (detailed below)

-Visited LSU and loved it. I'll be a tiger next year.

-4/7 Got a call from LSU today about my scholarship. I will receive roughly 55% of tuition. $36000 is an estimate of what it would be for out of state tuition over 3 years.

-4/6 Withdrew from UK. Will most likely withdraw from USC and U of L very soon. LSU said I have received a scholarship but the total amount has not been confirmed. I should hear this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

-4/5 Called LSU about scholarships so I can make a decision about attending their admitted students day. They told me I would get an email by the morning of the 7th at the latest. The wait is killing me.

-3/27 Received South Carolina letter via snail mail saying I get the out of state merit scholarship. This equals at least $16K a year (the actual amount won't be known until tuition is set this summer). USC is definitely toward the top of my list but their law school is so expensive I don't know if it will be possible.

-3/10 Officially waitlisted at Georgia and given a full ride with an assistantship at Chase.

-3/8 Email from NKU (Chase) that says I have been selected for a scholarship but the amount will come through snail mail. The email had a link that indicated my scholarship will be full tuition with a guaranteed research assistantship in the 2nd or 3rd year. We'll see if this is true. (I hope it's not, It'll be hard to turn down).

-3/4 Large white envelope with Acceptance and Scholarship to U of L. $24,000 3 year total, $8K per year.

-2/26 Large white LSU envelope in the mail, knew what it was immediately due to reading about it on here. Geaux Tigers!

-2/26 Accepted at Chase (NKU) via status checker and email

-2/23 Just got a Voicemail from the FSU admissions office with my acceptance. I am pumped about this one, let's hope they can show me some money and it may end up my winner.

-2/23 FSU status checker says decision rendered and will arrive by mail, but I've read that they call you if you get accepted. Scholarships at UGA don't look good to say the least, so FSU and USC would be my top picks now. Hope I can get some $$$.

-Barry's acceptance packet came in today. I've been offered $23000 a year from them, which I believe is their top scholarship. I would love the warm weather...

-UK sent me my acceptance letter and scholarship Info. I have been selected for $8000 the first year and $4000 for my second and my third year. The letter says I can still be offered a larger amount.

-Accepted to South Carolina! They sent the letter to my permanent address instead of my college address. USC said merit scholarship decisions should be made in early March and the first deposit is due May 1. Very excited about this!

-Accepted at Barry

-Georgia has reviewed my file but is holding it for further review. UGA is my top choice, but scholarships there don't look good.

-Accepted at Kentucky barely a week after I submitted my app.

As of now it's looking like LSU for me (in-state tuition!) but if Tulane comes a calling with $$$ I might be tempted.
