1-12-11 Just got a University of Chicago fee waiver

1-20-11 Just got a Northwestern fee waiver

2-18-11 Waitlisted at BU. I was expecting a flat out rejection so i'll take it. I plan to submit a LOCI.

2-23-11 Accepted to GW via email!! So glad to break into the top 20! Also, rejected from UT via snail mail. Its cool, didnt expect to get in anyway.

3-04-11 Accepted to BC and Howard! Held at Northwestern (glad I wasn't flat out rejected). My associate filled out the Career Evaluation form for me and I plan to submit the Hold essays.

3-08-11 Submitted a LOCI to Columbia and NYU in the hopes that it will reaffirm my desire to attend. Also Rejected from Emory via e-mail, not upset in the least bit. I actually forgot I even applied there.

3-09-11 Noticed that on 3/08 Vanderbilt status checker changed to reflect Decision letter Sent, bracing myself for the rejection...
Also im FINALLY complete at Cornell, let the long wait continue.

3-10-11 Very surprised that Brooklyn Waitlisted me. I DEF won't be stayin on that waitlist.

3-14-11 Got the waitlist letter from Vanderbilt.

3-16-11 Got the phonecall from Cardozo offering admissions and $30,000/ yr guaranteed

3-19-11 Visited BC and Loved it! Also awarded $28,000/yr.

3-22-11 Held at Harvard

3-23-11 Held at Columbia

3-24-11 Rejected by UChicago.

Congrats on your acceptances thus far! I am a Latina and have similar scores and extracurriculars, I was wondering however, how you went about creating your personal statement: did you focus on your past experiences, or on why you want to be a lawyer? CONGRATS!!
