Extra Curricular Information

Worked all four years of undergrad.

Being a less than diligent freshman tanked my GPA. Trying to compensate for those awful grades now. Lots of volunteer soft factors.

I use to check this website obsessively last year, and it gave me hope. Maybe my profile can give hope to people with similar numbers.

Additional info & updates

Scholarship amounts are for three years, unless otherwise noted.

12/06-Waitlisted at Idaho via email

12/30-Accepted at South Dakota via letter.

12/31-Cincinnati status checker says "decision reached". But not what the decision is. Frustrating.

1/4-Cincinnati rejection letter arrives.

1/9-Rejected at Ohio State via email.

1/10-Accepted at Akron via phone call. Also scholarship offer. I'm fairly certain I started crying on the phone. Hope the admissions officer didn't hear that.

1/13-Phone call from South Dakota congratulating me on my acceptance? Also found out there is no potential for a scholarship. At all.

1/16-Rejected at Michigan State via status checker.

1/17-Accepted at Vermont and University of D.C. via email. Also accepted at University of Dayton via status checker. All three say packets to come in mail soon. Also waitlisted at Albany via email.

1/18-Rejected at Hawaii via email. No aloha for me.

1/21-VERY EXCITING DAY! Accepted at Maine and Pace via email. Pace says packet to arrive in mail soon. Packets from Dayton and D.C. arrive. Dayton scholarship offer makes me very excited. D.C. is offering a one time $10,000 scholarship.

1/23-Accepted at Cal Western via email. Also scholarship offer with GPA stipulation.

1/25-Rejected at University of Arizona via letter.

1/28-Rejected at Louisvile via email. Accepted at Toledo via status checker. Says packet to come in mail.

1/30-Put on "hold" at Northern Kentucky this morning via email on my way to class. What a way to start my physics class. I kind of want to laugh, and then throw up on myself. It's okay.

2/03-Scholarship letter from Pace arrives. $12,000 a year with GPA stip.

2/04-Accepted at Cleveland via letter AND a scholarship offer with a GPA stip.

2/10-Lots of news today. Received my packet from Toledo, with a scholarship offer of $10,000 a year with a GPA stip. I must say I am a little less than impressed, given how interested they were in what Akron was offering me, I thought they might try to match it. Also, waitlisted at Gonzaga today via letter. Got my scholarship information from Vermont: $10,000 a year with a mild GPA stip. I'm very, very grateful today.

2/12-Officially waitlisted today at Syracuse via email. I called last week and was told I was likely going to be on the waitlist. Glad it's not a rejection, still sad it's a waitlist. I really wanted to get in there.

2/13-Decided to apply to Case Western and Oregon. I'm probably a really easy rejection at both of those, but hey, if you don't try, you'll never know, right?

2/14-Accepted at Willamette via phone call. With a $14,000 a year scholarship with a GPA stip. It really made my Valentine's Day.

2/19-Very depressing day. Rejected at Lewis & Clark via email. I don't know what I was expecting, but I was really hoping they'd waitlist me. I desperately wanted to go there. One of those days that makes me regret every C in every math and chem class ever, as I don't already regret them enough. It's a bummer. I sit here and go "well what if my fall grades had been on my transcript and they'd saw I took 22 credits AND the LSAT AND had well above a 3.0 semester GPA?! Would if it have helped?!" WhatIfWhatIfWhatIf. I guess my GPA increasing the miniscule 7/100ths of a point wouldn't have mattered much. I can't sit around and torment myself.

2/20-Waitlisted this morning at New Hampshire via email.

Thank you! How do you like Case Western? I'm kind of starting to consider throwing in an application there just to see.

How long did it take for you to hear from UDC? Was your tracker ever updated besides the initial received?

You already won
