Hello Fellow Applicants, Aspiring Hopefuls, Nervous Souls, and anyone in between.

I have been out of school for 3 whole years now, yikes, and stuck in a dead end retail job after bouncing around employers for much of my post graduation life. Law school is a dream I always had, but never quite sure I could achieve. After years of struggling for solid employment, especially in these tough economic times, I have decided that there is no time better than the present to start this journey.

Now I am not going to lie, I went away to college and thought it was a 24/7 snooze fest and as you can see my grades paid the price. I paid the price. I started in a Doctor of Pharmacy program (5years) to satisfy a family "dream." Well that didn't work out, especially since I hated science. Needless to say, I barely managed a 2.1 freshman year and had an uphill battle thereafter. So my GPA is a bit deceiving, I worked really hard my last 3 years. I took 4 business law classes in college which I enjoyed and did quite well in.

I know I am just one of many with mediocre grades and a 50th percentile LSAT score. But I hope, HOPE, this experience will give those of you who have less than stellar credentials, like myself, the confidence to explore your dream(s) no matter what anyone else may think or say.

Good Luck to all of you! Feel free to leave any thoughts or questions you may have and I will do my best to get back to you.

-Florida Coastal sent me 5 emails in 1 day. I still don't have an actual letter just an email of acceptance and another with my scholarship.

-Barry never notified me of a change in my status. I just signed on and saw I was accepted. Received my admission packet about a week later with some not so useful information.

-Pitt rejected me quite quick and I knew they would

-Akron supposedly accepts most of their students from Ohio, but a rejection 1 week after they began reviewing it was a little stunning.

-Got a small, rejection type letter from Louisville today, yup, rejection,oh well, definitely a reach school.

- Checked my status on Michigan States website to find a "denied" status, dated Saturday. Nice of them to notify me, no mailings are scheduled either.

- This week was not going well, and it just got a little worse. Checked my status at Franklin Pierce "Admission Not Granted"...bummer.... I was considering sending out more apps, to places like Cooley, or other Tier 4s in the hope of scholarship/grant money, but I am content with my list and will leave it be.

- Got my rejection later in the mail from Campbell, no surprise there. However, the letter was very rude in my opinion. I would hate to have actually wanted to go there, and thought I could make it in...

- Email from Widener, waiting on financial info - hoping I get a little something

- Tiny envelope from Seton Hall, not a sock at all

Just wanted to say good luck. I love your positive attitude! Keep it up! We have UofL in common so maybe we'll both nail it. Again, good luck with the rest of the cycle.

I was looking at some of the applicants from Northern Ohio, and saw that we have some similar numbers. I think if you don't end up getting accepted at a school of your choice waiting a year and applying a lot earlier will change a lot of those rejections. Just a thought. I am kind of worried about how late I am applying as well. Good luck!
