Additional info & updates

8/11/2014- interviewed with Vanderbilt

1/14/2015- interviewed with WashU. That was pretty quick. I turned in my application maybe a week ago.

1/17/2015- Alabama offered $30 in ITunes gift cards. I applied maybe half an hour later.

1/22/2015- In at WashU! Feels good to be in somewhere. I can't believe they were that fast.

1/29/2015- $75,000 Scholar in Law offer from WashU. I figured they would offer some money at some point, but again, this was really quick. Quite the fun email to receive.

2/6/2015- In at UCLA! The dean called me during lunch.

2/23/2015- Within a week I was waitlisted by Cornell, Michigan, and Vanderbilt. I was a bit surprised by Vanderbilt's decision. I had been hopeful at Michigan as well, but I still have to see a waitlist as a positive development.

2/24/2015- FLOORED by the rejection from Columbia. Okay, just kidding, that wasn't exactly a shock. Hope springeth eternal, but I'm not really expecting many positive developments in the top ten.

2/26/2015- IN AT VIRGINIA. Walking on air.

Thank you! They absolutely did. They have yet to deliver on their promise, but I remain hopeful.

Gratz on Virginia!

I applied to Alabama for the same reason! It's a very enticing draw. :P Congrats on your acceptances!

How did you prepare for the lsat?

LSAT prep

Sorry for the lengthy delay. I just did a little bit every day and knocked out a few full-length practice tests. I didn't do a course. Honestly, I feel like a ton of people spend more time figuring out how to take the LSAT than they do practicing the skills the LSAT tests (logical reasoning and such). Doing a fair bit of analytical reading and writing seems like it would be just as helpful as reading a prep book.

did you ever get into georgetown?

I withdrew from the waitlist. I had already accepted the offer from Virginia, so I took my name off the waitlist at a few schools.
