No - I was wondering the same thing! They didn't even say that they would be considering them later on - I think I'll peruse their website and/or e-mail them and ask...congrats btw!

Just read this on their website: Admitted students are automatically considered for these funds on the basis of past academic performance and will be notified in writing within three weeks of receiving their admit letter of any scholarship award.

I'm definitely considering, but it's not one of my top choices. I'll wait and see what other schools say, in the mean time I might drive up and visit, just in case. You?

Congrats on Pitt, when did you go complete there?

That's the same thing I was told when I was up there last month. I wrote an email to the Dean of Admissions stressing that it was my top choice and how much I loved my visit, hopefully that sways them...

No word at all - I missed their "automatic" scholarship by a few LSAT points, so I'm still waiting...Catholic said the same thing and I have yet to hear from them as well...

Yeah, I got into the fulltime day program

thanks

Actually I am considering the night program at uconn because I heard wonderful things about the school itself and I would only be an hour away from home. Plus I know people who have transferred to the day division. (I also sent in my deposit already.) Besides, it might be nice to still be able to make a little money. Good luck!!

I think I am looking to live in Hartford since I am not a fan of commuting and living at home (having done so for way too long for my job). Do you live in CT now?

Hey I really hope you hear from Villanova soon. If they accepted me then they have to accept you!

Yeah, but you have great choices between Pitt and UConn, they're both great schools.

How did you find out about need based aid for Pitt? Send me your e-mail and I can tell you what I thought the strong points of Pitt were...it would be a fairly lengthy lsn post

I was actually at Northeastern for their Open House so didn't make UConn's. I did hear that the transferring process is relatively seamless (from a 1LE who called me). I also heard that I can petition for residency my second year which would be awesome. Knowing both those things has definitely tipped the scale in UConn's favor. So I am also still conflicted and a little less scared of the evening division. I also heard that there are many, many 1LEs at UConn who are around my age. (Phew.) Keep me posted on your thoughts. This week is going to be very tough with deposits being due and all. ..

I hate you for choosing UConn over Pitt :(

Is where I will be heading. Decided since the cost would be the same with the scholarship, I would be happier going full time. (which I may live to regret saying now) Good luck at UConn!!
