UCLA: email
Berkeley: email
Penn: email
NYU: email
BU: phone call
Cornell: email

12/2: Rejected at UT Austin. Not an ideal way to start the cycle but hopefully I'll get some good news soon.

12/10: In at American via email. First acceptance, very excited!!
12/11: In at Fordham!!!

12/13: Looked at the status checker for Berkley again, my application has been under review since November 8th. I guess no news is good news? Status checkers are becoming slightly addictive.

12/17: Deferred from Columbia today, will be reconsidered with the regular decision applicants in the next few months. The letter informed me that they have about 8000 applicants for 380 spots, so considering the fact that my lsat score is a lot lower than their median I guess I feel lucky to not have been rejected outright.

12/29: Rejected from GW

1/19: Need to stop checking my status checkers. I've been under review at Berkley since November 8th, NYU since November 29th, and last week went under review at Penn. Anxious.

1/21: Rejected from UCLA

1/28: Rejected from Berkeley and Penn today...not terribly surprised but don't want to check my email anymore

2/03: Rejected at NYU via email. Thank God I have Fordham.

2/15: Just got a phone call from the dean of admissions at BU, so happy!!! So nice to get a phone call with good news

2/25: Offered $10,000 Dean's Merit scholarship for my first year at American

3/2: Rejection email from Cornell. Included instructions on applying as a transfer student after my first year in law school though. Slightly random but nicely worded email.

4/29: Email from Columbia today telling me that I'm on the Reserve List and my application will be reviewed again at the end of May. Excited that I haven't been rejected, but trying not to get my hopes up too high b/c it's still a huge long shot. Praying for a miracle

Don't get down. You got two really good acceptances and you got a few more on the way. You ever thought about UGA they'd probably throw a ton of cash your way.

thank you!

Thanks a lot for your words of encouragement, you are very sweet! UGA and Emory sent me fee waivers but I really want to be back up north or out west for law school so I didn't apply anywhere in the southeast. Good luck with your cycle!

Cool that your cycle is almost finished. Good luck with Columbia. Do you have any schools you're leaning towards?
