No longer held in a lukewarm embrace by Columbia.

Thanks for the info lucky7. I'm having a tough time thinking about where I want to go. Names aren't that important to me, and I have no one (ie parents) telling me what to do with my life. I love L.A. but I was born and raised here, so I thought I might want to spend 3 years somewhere else. That said, I'm afraid of the cold and know that I will probably be miserable half the time on the East Coast... But, sometimes being miserable is good for "self-discovery.." Though I'm still waiting on H & Y, I think that if I were to endure the East Coast, I'd want to be in NY (at nyu or columbia)... Thanks so much for your help. Will be visiting March (22) sometime.

Thanks--I found that site just after I sent in my apps (unfortunately, as it would have helped a bit beforehand). I'm currently working on letters of interest to columbia and nyu, and a letter of interest in financial aid awards to penn (some LSDers reported success with this at various schools... figure it can't hurt if done respectfully).

Columbia--Notified by email with attachment that froze my slow computer so had to go through an agonizing few minutes. email titled "Decision"... I suggest sending in an addendum to your application... a letter with stuff you've been up to, if any, or your interest in their program.
