7 MAR Quick Rejection from AZ Summit. I applied under the assumption they had an alternative admissions program. Not true. The program has been discontinued and LSAC simply hasn't updated it's website.

Hey, I did very poorly on my first attempt on the LSAT. I retook it and the little bit improvement helped tremendously. I took the second administration of the LSAT with the mindset that I just didn't care about the outcome. I read that going in with that mindset helped to actually relieve the nerves and I improved by 3 points, from 148 to 151. You can do much better than me, I wish you the best! Don't give up.

Rejected at Santa Clara. I smelled that one coming. Not a huge surprise.

I received an email from Whittier stating the law school will not have an incoming class this year - The Law School is shutting down. They will only refund deposit fees. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/19/business/dealbook/whittier-law-school-to-close.html?_r=0

So... I retook the LSAT in June. I still didn't hit where I wanted to (155-ish). The 149 definitely gave me more options.... Late in the Cycle I was still accepted at U. Idaho & Willamette. Gonzaga was interesting..... They called in the 11th Hour (end of July) and basically wanted to know If I'd pack up my stuff and be willing to show up in Spokane 2 weeks later. I told them the truth - I'd already decided to sit out for a year, and somewhat planned my life accordingly. Lol I got a rejection letter in the mail a week later. It makes me wonder what the right answer to that situation was. I dunno. The 149 was still no where near in range for UW. I'm hoping the rejections from Lewis & Clark and Seattle U were more an issue of applying early vs. Late Cycle. Seattle U's rejection Letter (Late July) pretty much said to apply earlier. Lewis and Clark from what I'm seeing is a reach - I don't know if I will reapply. Taking all of this into account..... I'm now leaning more towards wanting to stay in Texas. I've applied to TAMU & UNT today. As soon as South TX College of Law , Texas Southern & St. Mary's I plan on applying as soon as they get online.

Hi, WishfulApps. Thanks for all your candor about the process of law schools; it's really helping me out as I am looking to apply as well. I am leaning toward Texas schools. Have you heard anything from UNT or the others you applied to yet? Wishing you all the best. Kittyinlaw
