I received the scholarship money whenever I received my acceptance letter in the mail.

Are your scholarships amounts per year or total? Good choice on TX Tech! It's one hell of a deal for in-state.

The scholarship I received was $7,500 a year so $22,500 total. I accepted, really good offer.
Did you get scholarship money with your acceptance letter from A&M or did it take a while for them to send you the information?
