Casting a wide net to see what hits, let's go fishing for 1) $$ and 2) ranking (in that order).
Went to the regional law school fair and asked any school I was interested in for fee waivers, for most it works if you just ask.

**Scholarship numbers are total amounts**

12/6: Accepted at Creighton w/ half scholarship, didn't expect to hear back in 1 day.
1/13: Surprise phone call from Chapman Univ. admissions, then an acceptance email 2 days later.
1/20: Acceptance email from Willamette with $10K scholarship/yr.
1/22: Invited to interview at Washington Univ.
1/25: Acceptance email from USF with 1st year half scholarship.
1/27: Rejected by ASU via snail mail, online status checker just said decision rendered so had to wait until the mail came on 2/1, annoying. This is my alma mater lol they better not ask me for money ever.
1/28: Interviewed with Washington Univ. via phone at earliest time slot available, said I should hear back before the end of the week. It's going to be a long week.
1/29: Acceptance email from SLU with half scholarship followed by a phone call from the admissions staff, phone call was a nice touch.
1/31: Acceptance email from Texas A&M School of Law saying decision rendered to check online status. Thought I didn't make it in by that email, checked it and saw I was admitted. Gig'em!
2/3: Did not hear back from Wash U yet, not looking good. Emailed them as they asked if I didn't hear back. Got some excuse why they didn't get it out yet, again said should hear back by end of this week.
2/4: Email from Wash U saying I was wait listed. No comment.
2/5: Accepted at Univ. of the Pacific via snail mail
2/7: Attended the Sports Law Symposium at Chapman Univ. very interesting. Met the GC for Dodgers and the Dean of the law school, nice people. Small and cozy law school in Orange, CA.
3/3: Accepted at Univ. of Denver via email with 1/3 scholarship!
3/7: Accepted at American Univ. in DC via snail mail with no scholarship or grants. Did not fill out the need access.org website since it asks for parents info and that is not happening. Asked if there are any scholarships or grants, they said no based on my LSAT.
4/16: Accepted at Texas Tech Univ. with in-state tuition and a $10K (45%) scholarship per year via email. The scholarship email came 5 days after the acceptance email. That brings my tuition cost down to $6k per semester. That's how much tuition rates were for public law school in 2003.
5/1: Negotiating with Denver to see if they can increase scholarship $. I would still be paying almost 30K per yr out of pocket w/ the dean's scholarship amount offered. DU pushed back the deposit date.
5/9: Deposited with Texas Tech
