I have almost the exact same numbers as you, but I haven't heard back from Texas Tech yet. Hopefully you don't mind me asking, but are your scholarship numbers annual or over three years? I actually applied middle of September, so I'm surprised I haven't at least been waitlisted. Good luck and congrats.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I received an e-mail from Assistant Dean of Admissions Stephen Perez on Tuesday and was offered an in-state tuition waiver along with a $10,000 renewal scholarship per year, provided that my GPA remains in the top 50%. I was not expecting so much from Tech, this is making my decision more difficult. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions.

Congratulations on getting accepted to TT! I've applied there, and three other schools that you have-Utah, Seattle, and Nebraska. I'll be watching your LSN updates!

Thanks for the response. Since you applied ED, doesn't that mean you only have a few weeks to pay a deposit? Do you know if it's refundable? Are you just planning on paying the deposit and then just withdrawing if one of your more preferred schools accepts you? There are still a couple schools I prefer over TT and I'm not sure if I want to put myself in a position where I have to decide before hearing back from some other schools. Am I mistaken in my thinking? How are you handling this, if you don't mind me asking? Thanks for being willing to answer some questions.

84brandon, it's kind up up in the air. I have until Jan 11 to make a decision at TT. Not sure if it's refundable but I would assume not. At this point I'm honestly kind of regretting applying ED there. I never expected to receive so much scholly money from them so they are really in the running with Idaho since I'm a resident here. I'm leaning towards Idaho, but I may just pay the deposit and take the hit so I can hear back from other regional schools.

Quick questions about Baylor (if you don't mind). Did it really only take a week after your application was listed as complete for the university to make a decision? How long did you have to wait to get the letter in the mail? I keep hearing that 1-2 weeks is the norm. :S

Thanks! It was really fast. The letter said the decision was rendered on Nov 8, exactly one week after I applied. I received the letter around Nov 15, two weeks after applying. I'm really impressed with how Baylor was so prompt in responding.
