Additional info & updates

Just got married; wife has another year left to finish her MBA at Fordham University. I applied to UVA, Duke, and Pepperdine because of the fee waivers, just to see what would happen. If Columbia doesn't work out this year, I'll apply to about 10 schools next year without the need for a geographical filter.

Just got the mail last night that I'm out of the Reserve group at Columbia. Here's to next year! Though I'd love to stay in New York to go to school and practice, the option of a debt-free education in Malibu isn't a bad backup plan for 2012. All the best to everyone this year!

Thanks, dpk. I'm nervous that I won't be able to enjoy Columbia (very likely I won't get in), but I'll definitely enjoy the lady. :) Good luck in your applications! Are any NYC schools at the top of your list?

I'm looking at NYU and Columbia right now (pretty sure I won't get in Columbia because of my low GPA). Also I've already got accepted to Cornell which is also a school that I'm happy attending.
