Update 7/7/08 - Received an acceptance letter from U of La Verne. This came as a surprise because I didn't expect any acceptance letters from here on. They even offered me a scholarship in the amount of $6,500.
I'm still very much leaning toward Western State but that scholarship from ULV is kinda tempting. Not too excited about the thought of living in Ontario though. Location-wise, WSU wins, hands down.
Since both WSU and ULV are pretty much neck to neck, it's hard to decide.
Update 3/26/08 - Received a rejection letter from Southwestern. Not surprised at all. I don't think I'll get accepted to Pepperdine or Loyola either.
I also received an email from U of Detroit Mercy saying they have a good news. I guess I got in but they weren't really my top choice anyways.
All in all, I thank God for giving me this opportunity. I have made my decision and will be attending Western State.
Update 3/13/08 - I'm happy that I got into some schools, especially Western State. At least now I know that I will be able to stay home. I'm hoping that I will hear from the rest of the schools soon because I have to make a decision by the end of the month. Western State gave me until 3/31 to pay the initial deposit.
As for the schools I've been waitlisted, it's looking more and more like I probably won't be going there unless they suddenly change their mind and decide to accept me very soon, which is highly unlikely.
Update 1/31/08 - Well, it turns out that the LSAC received a wrong person's transcript for one of my schools and they have just notified me today. It's really frustrating that they just noticed this now when they've already sent the LSDAS reports to schools. Mind you that I have requested the transcript back in September and apparently, they didn't verify whether it was mine until now. I'm also ticked off at the school that sent the wrong transcript. When I paid a visit today, they denied that they even sent it to LSAC, which is nonsense. Somebody made a huge mistake and they aren't willing to accept it.
I guess part of it is my fault too for not checking it more thoroughly but both LSAC and the school get paid to do whatever they do.
Well, it looks like my overall GPA may actually go down. I actually thought it was correct since it's similar to what my last school (where I earned my degree) transcript states.
Not only that, this will only slow down the review process. This is depressing.
-I'm praying to God and keeping my fingers crossed that I will get into a couple of those.
Also, I hope to stay in Southern California.
