01-16-08 1:45PM EST: First Decision!!! In at GW by email (package to follow in a few days; fin/merit info in a few months). Amazing turnaround time. I can't believe this. Such a nice way to start the decisions cycle. I'm really really happy with this. I guess it means I'm going to law school. ^^

02-06-08 4:10PM EST: Got a very nice email from Brooklyn Law. It was just a safety, but it feels great, of course. My dad and boss really really want me to go here.

8:30PM: Deferral at Boalt. Errmmnn, that's a bit scary.

02-14-08 5:45PM EST: Phone call from Emory DOA (left message): Yayay! My first phone call acceptance. Oh, it feels wonderful. I feel so so bad I couldn't pick up and express my gratitude (my stupid phone gets no service in my classrooms...) Emory was a last minute thought in my applications process but I heard the quality of life is great there. I'm a little worried that almost all of my target schools have contacted me at this point...leaving all the rejections to come in one unhindered flow... :/

02-15-08 7:00PM: WL..."on reserve" ...at Columbia by snail mail :( poo. I know this one was an impossibility and making it to the WL should feel great...but I think they're just toying with me. No one from my UG has been accepted to Columbia in the last 10 years. Oh how cruel...

02-28-08 8:00PM: On hold at Northwestern. Notified by email and status checker. They'll decide whether I'll end up on the WL, rejected, or accepted in May. After such a long lull, this is kinda bah. *keeping up the hope*

02-29-08 2:00PM: WL at UMich by email. Really nice letter but still, *weep*

03-05-08 7:00PM: BC acceptance by snail mail :}

03-08-08 7:00PM: Vandy WL by snail mail. I was already predicting this b/c it seems all the decisions mailed on 03-03 were WLs :(

03-17-08 7:00PM: GULC Preferred WL by snail mail. Heartbreaking. As soon as I saw the window-envelope, my heart just sank. My first choice...just gone...gone.... *weep*

03-18-08 4:00PM: UPenn WL by email. The tragedy is just rolling on...

03-19-08 4:00PM: BU acceptance by phone call. :)

03-24-08 5:00PM: On reserve at Cornell :( Rejected from UChicago and from Boalt. Miserable miserable miserable Monday.

03-28-08 3:00PM: My UVA status checker went to decision around 1AM so the panic set in...I couldn't bear it anymore so I called and they told me I'm priority WL. poo. I love them so. poo.

03-31-08: Straight out rejection from NYU by snail mail. Expected so doesn't sting as much as the WLs

05-21-08: Got an email from Duke asking if I was still interested and if I'd be willing to do a phone interview with them.

05-23-08: Had a nice phone interview and was accepted directly at the end of it. HUGE shock!!! :D Very very very happy.

06-18-08: Penn called and asked me a few questions about the extent of my interest around June 6 :D. I was called the following week with an offer of acceptance! Thrilled to death!!!

06-20-08: Columbia 'could not take favorable action'. Expected but I was getting SO hopeful. :( Looks like my cycle is now over...UPenn, here I come ^^.
