Bitterly disappointing December LSAT score. We'll see if I luck out on any of the above schools. If not, I'll be back next cycle.

My LSAT is 3 points below yours and man, I feel your pain. Our GPAs are also kind of similar (3.08 LSDAS GPA and 3.71 Degree GPA). I shot for some of the higher schools too. I'm hoping to at least make it into the top 50 with some scholarship money... but I would definitely attend a T14 with zero scholarship money if offered. I want that kind of law school experience: the ivy experience. You should also consider Georgetown and Notre Dame! I hear Wake Forest is pretty good with our numbers too... but I didn't apply there due to an application budget limit that I set for myself. Anyway, I'll definitely be watching your page (especially because I also applied to Cornell, Boston, and Duke).

For me, it isn't necessarily about the "ivy experience". If I don't end up getting into a top school, Duke in particular, it just isn't likely that I will be able to be choosy about where my legal career goes. If I can't be choosy, then I won't go to law school (yet). My goal in my applications was to show schools that I have a very unique plan laid out that can only be made possible through X school, which should therefore merit a holistic review of my application. Will that be enough to trump my numbers? We'll see. My point is, for folks with our numbers, I think we must go out of our way to sell ourselves. Put in as much effort as you can into optional essays and see where you end up. Good luck with Cornell.
