04/20: Got the long-awaited ding from Harvard. My cycle is officially over and turned out better than expected.

04/11: Strange first-year Dean's tuition grant from GULC. Withdrawn.

04/09: Scholly from BU. Withdrawn.

03/23: Scholly award from BC. Was also awarded $6,000 Perkins loan and $10,000 low-interest loan from the school

02/16: Accepted at Cornell! I updated 3 times after being deferred from EA, with the most recent being 02/15.

02/10: Scholly award from WUSTL. Hmmm.

02/03: Got the much expected WL/reserve from Columbia.

02/01: In at BU!

01/26: Updated again at BU. Decision time?

01/18: Caught the WL at Penn. Boo, whore.

01/13: Held at Harvard. o_o

01/11: Under review at Penn for the second time.

12/29: Updated transcript, additional LOR, and LOCIs sent to NYU and Cornell.

12/15: Rolled to RD by NYU.

12/13: In at BC.

12/12: Merit scholly from Fordham.

12/07: Missed out on the first round of NYU ED acceptances yesterday (not at all surprised) and am 99% sure I'll end up at Mich if they reject me. Under review at BC today as well.

12/06: Updated at Cornell and in at WUSTL and Mich via ASW!!!!!!

12/02: In at GULC!!! Also updated at WUSTL. Happy day.

12/01: Under review at Uconn; complete at Harvard.

11/28: Fourth update at GULC. Painful.

11/22: Accepted at Fordham via email! Formal letter to follow. Super excited to have an acceptance.

Under review at Harvard. It'll be a quick and easy decision for them. :(

Also under review at NYU.

BU status checker updated to complete for the second time.

11/21: Georgetown status checker updated for the third time. Here's hoping to an decision this week or early next!

11/18: Complete and under review at Michigan.

11/16: Call to NYU confirmed I am all set for ED, even though my status is stuck on "processing."

11/15: Fordham updated to complete for the third time. No other movement.

11/09: Fordham updated to complete for the second time. Would love to be under review.

11/07: Need-based waiver request granted by Fordham. Submitted. All applications are out and the waiting game begins!

Status checker updated to "application complete" for Georgetown today - I think this essentially means "under review." I've got my fingers crossed.

Decided to apply to Harvard for no reason other than to buy myself a rejection letter. Here goes nothing.

11/02: Merit-based waiver granted by BC - guess they didn't want to sort through my financial documents. Submitted.

11/01: Need-based waiver request granted by BU. Submitted.

10/31 : Sucked it up and submitted NYU and Georgetown without fee waivers. All other waivers are merit-based, waiting on need-based requests from BU/BC/Fordham

Sending good vibrations to you as well, fellow splitter! :) Good luck on your NYU ED. I hope we both get our dream schools. Will be following your cycle closely.

Good luck

We're almost numbers twins with very similar schools, hoping for the best on both of our cycles!

Thanks!

Good luck to you as well! I did hear back from Fordham about $$. updated it on my profile.

Thursday, March 24 2011 at 08:00 PM

I don't usually try to be creepy by leaving comments on random people's profiles, but our stats are pretty similar and Michigan is probably my first choice and you were accepted so congrats and I'm rooting for you for the rest of your cycle!

Congrats!
Monday, November 14 2011 at 07:00 PM

Congratulations on Mich, enjoy the peace of mind for the rest of your cycle! hah

Thursday, March 24 2011 at 08:00 PM

Yeah, I went there for undergrad. I liked it, but it's definitely not as nice as the law school...

thanks
Monday, November 14 2011 at 07:00 PM

for the congrats! pulling for you to get some good news soon!

wtflolbbq rolled at Cornell?
Wednesday, November 16 2011 at 07:00 PM

you got rolled from EA at Cornell?! i would have thought with your numbers, you would have been an outright accept! this scares me....

Tuesday, October 25 2011 at 08:00 PM

so you and I are the same person. We're both going to Michigan unless we get a super scholarship from some other school like UConn and by super I mean full and by full I mean it's not going to happen so we're going to Michigan!

Tuesday, October 25 2011 at 08:00 PM

yeah, I hope so. I'm sure you'll have a good end to your cycle with those pending apps you have. The only other one I have pending that people would say I should take is Columbia but I don't know, I think I'd still go to Mich. Call me crazy.

Tuesday, October 25 2011 at 08:00 PM

Right? That's so freaking crazy. That was my 6th sense talking.

Thursday, August 04 2011 at 08:00 PM

Thanks! Even though I'm still beyond excited and grateful for the acceptances, the decision is ridiculously hard now. I don't want to miss out on any of the unique parts of law school each one has to offer. They're just all such different schools. I hope you get Penn soon so you have to go through the same torture! *evil* but you might not have to cause... held at H?!? O_O indeed! That's quite the accomplishment in itself for numbers like ours. Crossing my fingers for you. Your softs can't be too "average" for H to continue to consider you. Good luck on the rest of your schools (extra luck for H, NYU and P)!

Thursday, July 07 2011 at 08:00 PM

Hmm not completely sure, but it would definitely be difficult to turn them down. I was contemplating applying earlier in the cycle, but my wallet was getting a little thin haha.

Thursday, July 07 2011 at 08:00 PM

Thanks! You too! I hope you get more good news to add to your choices=)

Thursday, March 29 2012 at 08:00 PM

Hey Killingly, congrats on all your acceptances. Do you think you will be getting any more scholarship money. Do you think you'll get any aid from Cornell?

Thursday, March 29 2012 at 08:00 PM

I should have said, the reason Im asking is because my states are similar to yours

thanks!
Wednesday, November 16 2011 at 07:00 PM

thanks killingly! I probably won't go though; visited this last weekend and I can't say I liked Ithaca at all btw, don't you love the NYU WL? i swear, if we get off the NYU WL, it will be EPIC
