Additional info & updates

Extenuating familial circumstances that affected academic performance (described in supplement).

2/25/2013: After a few long months, I heard back from DU that I was accepted to the evening program. I only applied to DU's evening program at first, with the idea that I would attend school and work contemporaneously. Since being accepted, however, I have decided that I will likely not work. I also decided to apply to a few other schools to explore further options.

3/6/2013: Application complete at UMKC.

3/8/2013: Application complete at CU.

3/11/2013: Telephone interview with UMKC scheduled for morning of 3/14/2013.

3/11/2013: Application under review at CU.

3/14/2013: Interview with UMKC. I felt that it went well, and I learned a lot of information about the programs available at the university.

3/14/2013: Received email confirming that I had been admitted to the university. Up until today, I really only considered going to a Colorado school, but I felt really good after my conversation with UMKC. DU is also ranked higher, but it might be good to make a change.

3/22/2013: Received paper copy of UMKC admission information, including a very nice handwritten note from the Director of Admissions,as well as a scholarship offer for $9,000 over 3 years. I informed the professor that interviewed me that I would likely be attending DU, but thanked him for his time and information.

4/10/2013: "Decision Rendered" on status checker @ CU. No email yet with decision.

4/10/2013: Rejected from CU. Can't say that I am really surprised, applied on a whim anyway.

Thus concludes my cycle! Phew, feels good to be done.

Hello! I'm not sure if you are still checking this since your cycle is complete. Congrats on DU. I applied at UMKC this year. My interview was yesterday. Did you get your acceptance email the same day as your interview?
