Additional info & updates

6/2 - Not sure if anyone is still reading this, but just in case there are people who have applied to UMKC and are still waiting, I finally heard from them. I have an interview next Thursday. Ave Maria increased my sholarship amount and a professor from Regent offered to have people there to help move in if I can get there. I'm still trying to sell my house and raise some money.

6/10 - Had interview at UMKC yesterday. A decision will be made at the admissions committee review on Tuesday. I liked the Dean of Admissions a lot; she was very nice and had a lot of good advice. I hope they admit me. I am also sending more documents to KU as they said they are still admitting people off their waitlist. I haven't given up on Regent or Ave Maria either.

6/14 - Waitlisted at UMKC. Was hoping to take the easy way out, but God did not have that in His plans. Really need to pray about this so I can make the right decision.

6/19 - Have been emailing with a student who started at Ave then transferred to Regent. Very insightful. Since I am not Catholic, I do not think Ave will be the best choice for me. Need to decide between trying to make Regent happen or just wait and see if I get accepted off of either waitlist, and if not, retake the LSAT and try again.

6/24 - Even though I thought I sent an email to Charlotte withdrawing, they sent me an email yesterday saying I was accepted off the waitlist. How ironic. I'm hoping to be accepted off two waitlists, but this wasn't one of them! I notified Charlotte that I am not accepting so hopefully someone else can get the seat.

7/8 - I withdrew from Regent. No miracles for me. Haven't sold the house and I can't make Regent happen this year. I may start studying for the LSAT again. Or maybe law school wasn't meant to be. At this point, I will just wait and see what happens at KU and UMKC.

8/2 - Still no word from KU or UMKC. I think they may have their admissions meetings on Tuesdays, so when I don't here anything on Tuesday or Wednesday, I quit thinking about it, and pretty much wait for the next week. However, I am starting to believe it will not be happening for me this year.

I also wanted to let those applying to Ave Maria for 2011/2012 know that when I was holding out on making a decision, they raised my scholarship from $5,000 per year to $10,000. That might be good information to know.

8/24/11 - I was not accepted off the waitlist at either KU or UMKC. UMKC changed my online status (via the status checker) on 8/22/11 and KU on 8/23/11. They say a letter is being sent. Oh goody - can't wait for that! At this point, not sure if I will re-take the LSAT and try again for the next cycle.

Kaitlyn, I received a letter in the mail. The status checker still says my file is under review, so I was really surprised when I received the letter on Saturday.
