Rejected at UVA via snail mail- expected. The status checker changed 2 days before I got the letter.

Receivd email from Akron offering full tuition plus first year 10k stipend. The terms are pretty steep though. I must maintain a 3.3 gpa with would put me in the top 10% of the class... ouch.

Also received package from Tulane with Scholarship info. The package is really cool! I won't spoil the surprise, but they're really making me like them.

Tulane! Received email saying congrats as well as status checker changed to "congrats you've been accepted." It's kind of nice that they let you know so quickly.

My first acceptance- Tennessee!! That was so surprising, I wasn't expecting to hear anything so quickly! It came in a small white envelope.

The last school that hadn't requested my LSDAS report finally requested it today. Yea! The cycle officially has begun for me! I'm excited, but anxious. Now, the waiting begins.

Last app submitted today. I got started late in this cycle. I just got all my apps sent out in the last week of January between 1/23 and 1/31. I hope this doesn't ruin my chances. I'm already a long shot at most of the schools I applied to because of my low GPA. Since I'm somewhat a splitter, I applied to a wide range of schools. However, I only applied to schools I would actually be willing to go to if accepted, so no safeties for me... scary.
I'm pretty average all around. Average numbers, average softs. It will be interesting to see how this turns out.
