I applied on the last day to most schools - foolish

6/3 Actual numbers are up.

My advice for low GPA: Visit the schools you really want and explain your situation. The schools I was accepted from were the only schools that granted me an interview after constant haggling. The result was then 2 for 2.

I will be attending MSU for the duel degree with Ottawa. It is the back door of back doors to Canadian law schools. I really appreciate SC LAW for giving me a chance, when I make it big and plan to give back, I will send some their way. I will always hold a special place in my heart for Dean P and the SC community, in fact I may even be a visiting student there in 2L I like them so much. It really hurt my heart to have to withdraw.

On a side note - What a terrible and expensive process. Study like crazy for the LSAT and apply across the board.

5/7 Dinged at Tulane. Cycle is not looking good. Also Stetson is no longer ranked.... so I'm not sure I would attend.

5/1 Withdrawing from Cuse; they sent me form asking to verify 70k in my bank account. Efffff that for this school.

4/15 UDM is for joint program with Windsor, which I am on low waitlist

My brutal GPA was that I went to community college and then left town without withdrawing. 5 F's drag down my gpa.My University gpa is a little more solid, something around 3.0, so that helped get me in I assume. Basically I told the deans that they should ignore my community college gpa.

Waitlisted at UDM with a 160 seems unusual. when did you apply there?

Thanks for sharing. I didn't even know Michigan State had a jd/llb program. You have to be a go-getter to be doing interviews and such. Wish I could have scored a 160. lol Keep us updated after the first semester.

Hi Mannn, ref your response. Realistically I am looking at the process. No way in hell am I getting into top level school with my GPA. I dont plan on flunking LSAT but I think a 160 is probably where I fall into. Sure I could get lucky as I am an older student. I also dont want to go too far away from DC area, so that leaves me UDC, Balt, Cath, or powerhouse schools like GTOWN, GWU, and UVA..lets see what LSAT score is first...
