Additional info & updates

Oct 2016: Interviewed at Northwestern and Vanderbilt

Early/Mid Nov 2016: Got in Georgetown. Accepted at WUSTL with scholarship! Not a full ride but substantial :)

Late Nov 2016: Accepted into several schools I consider a practical choice for me. I am excited to see what scholarships are offered. At sticker, Cornell and Georgetown are prohibitively expensive for me...

Dec 2016: Iowa offered full scholarship. Pepperdine offered full + stipend. Irvine also offered a generous amount.

Jan 2017: Waitlisted at Vanderbilt and withdrew. Gained UCLA acceptance!

Feb 2017: I am still recovering from shock. I have some insane acceptances. Will update with dates and scholarship info soon..[DECIDED NOT TO UPDATE B/C I AM PARANOID ABOUT PRIVACY] :D

Aug 2017: What a whirlwind! I am stunned over Columbia, but Northwestern offered the most pragmatic package. I managed to get my family successfully relocated and I am eagerly awaiting Fall 2017. Good luck to everyone on their first year!

Also, I am sorry for not replying to my messages sooner. I was busily relocating my family these past few months.

There were many questions about why my cycle went so well...

I believe that having substantial work experience really helped. I also think the colorful life experiences that come with age made my application stand out, but do not tell TLS I said that ;)

Congratulations on UCLA! Looks like you're facing some hard choices b/w good schools at sticker vs solid schools w/scholarship. I've been out of UG for 7 years, too. I sent my apps a few weeks after you so I'll be watching you closely! I'm rooting for you!

May I ask what Northwestern offered scholarship-wise?
