Additional info & updates

Here are my takeaways....

1- Study for the LSAT and I can recommend the book The LSAT Trainer, by Mike Kim. It's not as glossy as Kaplan etc. and it starts slow but I went up 6 points because of it.

2. Apply EARLY. My applications went in 10/30 and I still wish I had gotten them in earlier.

3. Put a lot of energy into every single communication you have with schools- not just applications but follow up emails, thank you'd, phone calls etc.

4. Apply for scholarships promptly.

5. Disclose!

6. If there is something weird or difficult in your background or anything that will leave Admissions people with questions about your suitability for their school, anticipate it and address it in your writing.

7. Aim HIGH. Apply everywhere you want to.

Good luck!

Thank you! I honestly didn't know what to expect when I started working on this whole thing a year ago, so I'm very happy. Right now I have a great offer from Cornell and I am waiting for financial aid info from Northwestern. So once I have that last piece of the puzzle I will be able to decide between those two!

great advice
