Extra Curricular Information

Phi Beta Kappa, Psi Chi (psychology honor society), Golden Key. In show choir first three years of undergrad, pretty intensive, 10-20 hours a week. Ran community service activity (Clothesline Project) for my area on campus my junior year. Other than that, concentrated mainly on research projects. Received an honors grant for senior thesis. Presented research at SEPA and SSSS conferences (national psychology conferences) as well as at undergrad presentation days. Kicking myself for not publishing my thesis.

Worked all the way through undergrad (5 hrs a week freshman-junior years), worked the most my senior year (15-25 hrs/week). Took more than full load (15+ hours) all except my first and last semesters. Had full college scholarships at state school.

Currently an admin assistant at the SC Court of Appeals.

I'm 21--graduated from undergrad when I was 20--started college at 16.

My father's on disability for clinical depression.

Rec'd UGA's rejection via their online status check, the afternoon of April 27th.

It's looking like Tennessee is where I'm going to be, barring any unforseen circumstances (like good news from UF or UGA). Baylor's just not worth the price, and living in Waco for 3 years...

UTK said that while they have not given out nearly all of their scholarship money, they have given out some. FinAid advisor said all offers would be out by April 1st. A decision on the GA position will probably be made by March 1st. Looks like I'm out for that.

i am still waiting to hear if i get any money from UT...they said they will make there decisions by april 1st

The website will update and it will show the actual decision. I checked it every day and then one night... REJECTION!

Well, I was planning on attending at UTK, but with the Florida admit, I'm kinda not sure anymore. Waiting until the spring to start would give my husband a longer opportunity to find a job, which would be good. I'm going to try and visit UF soon, and maybe that will help me make up my mind.
