I called FSU about a week or so ago, and they told me tha i wouldnt hear back from them until May. So annoying. So im just gonna go ahead and put a seat deposit down for two schools and wait to hear from FSU (It would be nice to pay instate tuition at FSU) ------Im thinking of attending Mercer, but not real certain as to what its like in Macon, GA? Nice area?
I may be going to Mercer too. Unless I hear from GSU by April 1, I will be paying Mercer's seat deposit. I lived in Macon from 3rd grade until HS graduation. I like it and think that it's a nice Southern town. But that also includes being conservatie and having a lot of churches and things of that nature. It's more than 50% African-American which some people aren't used to.The only thing I worry about at Mercer is summer associate jobs / internships. I imagine Macon's pretty limited for those jobs. And Atlanta is really too far to commute (70 miles). Otherwise I like Macon a lot, but then agian, I grew up there. Hope that helps!
That sucks regarding the FSU letter. If it makes you feel any better, I didn't hear about my school in undergrad until July. Often though, the school you previously put a deposit on will give a partial refund when you hear from another school. Good luck with all of your apps!!
