Additional info & updates

SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNTS ARE PER YEAR.

11/9 Still nothing from Michigan. Should I be worried? I wasn't till I checked other profiles and saw that some with comparable stats (and FWs) have received decisions that quickly.

11/18 Expecting Duke sometime this week (they said that they'd get back to me within 10 days). Under review at Duke, Berkeley, and Harvard (though I imagine that this means different things at different places).

11/19 In at Duke via email.

12/28 Thought I would have heard from Michigan already, but NYU came today via USPS.

1/13 In at UPenn via phone call. Thank God for Google Voice - I'm abroad and can't access my phone, but Google sent me a transcript of the call.

1/13 Held at Mich. Whatever.

1/19 Held at Harvard.

1/25 In at CLS via snail mail.

2/4 Invited to apply for the Toll Public Interest Scholarship at UPenn.

2/5 In at Chicago via email.

2/18 Email from Berkeley saying they'll have a decision by 3/12

2/23 Scholarship (20k x 3yrs) at U of C.

2/26 Busy day. Waitlisted at UMich and received an email from Harvard to set up a JR1.

3/2 Withdrew from Michigan's WL. Looks like they had a weird cycle (statistically).

3/3 Just had my JR1. Just under ten minutes. I think it may have gone well. "I think we have all the information we need to evaluate your file."

3/4 Invitation at NYU to interview later this month for two different scholarship programs.

3/11 Admitted at Berkeley via email.

3/23 Phone call from Yale. I absolutely can't believe it. Could it have been a prank call?

Edit: not a prank. Backed up in email.

WD from Penn so someone else can have my scholarship interview slot.

3/27 Interview at NYU for named scholarship

3/30 Scholarship at Duke (30k x 3 yrs); grant at Yale (28k for year one, need to reapply for FA every year); WD Chicago; WD Duke.

4/2 Phone call from NYU. Did not receive a named scholarship; received a Dean's scholarship instead - 15k.

4/5 Offered a Root at NYU, but I'm nearly positive I'm headed to Yale. Called SLS, they said a decision letter had been mailed last week. Looks like the first ding of the cycle.

4/6 WD at Cal, Columbia, and NYU. Looks like I'm headed to Yale unless Harvard both admits me and makes a strong push.

4/9 WL at Stanford.

4/14 Sent in my deposit to Yale! So happy the cycle is FINALLY done. And screw Harvard - mid April is way too long to let someone hang.

4/19 WL at HLS via email.
