Extra Curricular Information

In case you're wondering:

LSAT: 167/171
GPA: "upward" trend; 4.0 sophomore -senior years

Lots of things centered around a particular public service cause:
-founded an organization that is one of the first in the country dedicated to this particular cause (thus, why I'm being vague)
-fellowship
-publications
-conference papers
-other activities ranging from clubs/editorial boards on campus to a couple pretty high impact things

Academically, a couple prizes/recognitions, honors thesis, some publications and conference papers (unrelated to public service), studied abroad at Oxford. I spent a lot of time typing in college, if you can't tell.

VERY strong recommendations (did research with one/found a favorite one and took every class he taught)

Strong personal statement (I was told)--a sort of intellectual biography

Additional info & updates

10/22 - "Under Review" at Berkeley

11/9 - "Under Review" at Harvard

11/17 - "Under Review" at NYU

11/19 - Just got the "Complete" email from Harvard along with a lot of other people; however, my status checker still says "Under review"....your guess is as good as mine.

11/20 - "Under Review" at Georgetown

12/2 - Nominated for Mordecai Scholarship at Duke (full tuition)

12/4 - Got the call from Dean Tom!! In at Berkeley! :D (sent in 3-page ps)

12/7 - "Complete/Decision Rendered" at Georgetown...xD

12/8 - Big purple envelope!! :D In at NYU! (postmarked 12/1)

12/10 - In at G'town! : D Got the letter along with a nice note from the dean.

12/17 - It's been a week and no activity >< I think the first ten days of December spoiled me, lol

12/18 - JR1 email came this morning :)

12/22 - Had the JR1 this morning--7:15 long, nothing terrible, nothing great...

1/11 - JR2!!!?!?!?!?! lol, I stuttered, pronounced JR's name incorrectly TWICE and caused more than one awkward silence during the JR1. Also, I'm not sure I could have been more "on the cusp," but somehow it all worked. Two words: SOFTS MATTER.

1/11 cont. - Oh yeah, and "Under Review" at UChicago

1/19 - IN AT STANFORD! xD wtF?!

1/25 - In at Columbia! :D

2/5 - In at Chicago! :D

2/9 - Fiiiiinally finished working on my Yale app; should be sending out some withdrawals soon

2/18 - Withdrew from Georgetown, Duke and Cornell

2/26 - Haha, waitlisted at Michigan. Not disappointed, was going to withdraw anyway, didn't write an optional essay, didn't mention the school in my PS--I'm sure they could smell my lack of enthusiasm.

3/8 - Withdrew from NYU, Columbia, Chicago and Berkeley.

4/15 - Rejected from Yale. C-c-c-c-combo breaker! : b Disappointed, but not upset. Was really happy with the HLS ASW and Stanford should be fun. Decisions, decisions! I'm on the fence!

4/22 - Harvard it is! Need a change of pace and coast and campus---Cambridge, here I come!
