Additional info & updates

4/18 Reserved (WL) at Columbia last week. I had been drawing away as I learned more and spoke with alums, etc., and hubby put foot down against east coast, so I wouldn't be attending anyway, but still sucks. Not a word from Harvard still, so hoping to get WL for ego's sake. Hubby's job has branch in Boston, so he said he would look into that for Harvard (luckily for him and his anti-east coast bias, that doesn't look to be an issue).

3/15 Call from UCLA Dean today with admission decision. He seemed in a hurry (lots of calls to make I am sure), so I didn't ask any questions. He didn't say anything about a scholarship though, so I'm not sure if that means nothing, or that I might hear at another time...

3/7 Under Review at Harvard 2/23. Seems like other late submitters like myself got the JR1 call before getting the complete email (which I received on 3/3), so it seems like I'm definitely not a top contender. Still holding out hope I will get one at some point though. Columbia and UCLA have been completely silent. Thinking I should have applied to UVa, Duke and Penn (where I got fee waivers) at least for bargaining power with Berkeley.

2/18 I was afraid of this. Full-ride (pretty much) at USD. I will be a little while before I hear from Berkeley on any scholarships, so I'm not going to assume the worst from them yet, but it makes it tough...

2/14 Ok, I wasn't paying full attention to the nuances of all the different app statuses. So, the update goes both ways: Got accepted to USD. Haven't heard re: scholly $$ yet. Realized my app isn't technically complete at Harvard, just received. They say it could take 4-6 weeks to match all parts, and other user profiles seem to reflect about 2 weeks, so no panic yet. Columbia is definitely complete, and UCLA, I have no idea, because I don't have any kind of status tracker information. I will have to investigate and see if this is the norm....

2/4 Wow! I never expected the decision this fast, but just got the call from Dean Tom at Berkeley. I'm so sad i didn't pick up the phone, because I didn't recognize the number, but at least I have a message from him that I can replay! :)

2/1 Officially Under Review at Berkeley!

All apps complete 1/31, (initially in 1/18). Nothing like last minute! Hoping I will still get into most of these...

You're going to get, actually I'm surprised you didn't get in already since you had your JR1 2 mondays ago. But I bet you get the call tomorrow!
