Black Hole

Sorry for lack of response. Was going to respond to you today and just realized you're the rugby guy! Anyway, I don't think there was a black hole. I went to a mediocre undergrad with interesting, but mediocre softs. I wasn't good enough for Yale and Stanford, and I was yield protected by most of the T14, to whom I didn't appeal enough to risk admitting when they assumed I'd get into HYS or get a full ride somewhere good, except for NULS obviously. NULS actually liked me enough to offer me a full ride, which flatters me a lot. A couple really nasty people on TLS who were trying to be hurtful to me said it was just numbers-based, but plenty of people with my numbers don't get NULS or even T14 full rides, and some people with much worse numbers did get the NULS full ride. Regarding the Harvard waitlisted, just look at this cycle's Harvard applicants and sort by LSAT. A LOT of people with numbers like mine or better, generally with better softs, were waitlisted this year. It's because of the new admissions dean and the increase in applicants. Good luck with Harvard, but congrats on Chicago! Still, it'd be great if we both ended up in the HBS Rugby Club.
