Additional info & updates

All scholarships are yearly totals.

As a law school candidate with a strong GPA and low LSAT I had to make sure the rest of my application was strong. My personal statement was a personal experience as the first to graduate college. I had an addendum that explained my low LSAT score and why I believed it should be ignored.

I really do believe well rounded applications have a shot, so that's how I attacked my application cycle.

*****
The following are my thoughts on my application cycle as I found reading these profiles helpful in my application cycle: I was very fortunate to have gotten into a lot of the schools that I did. As a splitter applying to law school I had to find an angle to my application to make it stand out. I think that stands in my resume as it is strong. My recommendations were very strong and came from prominent professors across multiple universities. I think this was also a huge boost.

I received my scholarship information as followed:
University of Miami: November
Boston University: February
Florida: March
Florida State: March
Georgetown: April
I'm assuming by now I've been rejected by Washington and Northwestern.

Thoughts on Law School Predictor:

Deny: Georgetown, Cornell, Boston U,

Weak consider: Northwestern, Emory, Washington

Consider: Boston College, Consider

Strong Consider: American, Florida State

Admit: Miami

It obviously can't account for softs but this is hard to quantify; take the results with a grain of salt I guess.

Congrats on Georgetown! I also feel that a well rounded applicant should be considered even if the LSAT score is not optimal. Would you be willing to share your addendum with me?

I agree, I have pretty much the same numbers as you! congrats on Georgetown, was there any details specifically that you felt were helpful in your addendum that you feel comfortable sharing?

I think the key to my addendum was arguing that my long term educational experience should trump my LSAT score. While I don't feel comfortable sharing an entire document, I would say that my addendum took a tone of, "I can do the work, I've proven I can do the work in multiple college settings--I just need a chance."

Congrats!!!
