Additional info & updates

received emails from all schools saying they have either received my application or that I was complete...

12/19- In at URich...call from Dean Rahman.

12/20- In at South Carolina.

12/26- Sweet Christmas present from UMiami...Letter came in a tiny yellow envelope...Thought it was the 'ole rubber rejection stamp, but it was thick....kinda threw me off.

01/07- Letter from BC. Obvious Rejection...Expected that...Ok, moving on.

01/26- So, after being on vacation for a few days, i came home to a nay-no from IU-B and an acceptance from American...at least there's some good with the bad.

03/09- WL letter from GW....LOCI sent promptly...we'll see what happens.

03/17/07- Knew my numbers were low, but was at least expecting a WL from UF.....UMiami it is if I want to be in FL.

In at UofArizona.....great weather, but other than that, I'm totally clueless about the school/area. Anyone know anything?

I feel your pain, brother. Full-time worker from age 16 here, regardless of school. I'm not hanging my hat on the fact that that's my sole excuse for grades and LSAT, but kids, family, and work make it rough to pull competitive numbers if you're not quite MENSA worthy like me.

So....

I have similar numbers to you, although my LSAT is slightly lower. Good luck to you. At least you got in somewhere, so you know you're going to law school.

Arizona

Congrats! Yes, Arizona is a beautiful place. I went there for undergrad. It's a cheap place to live. Tucson, is a very liberal and unique place. The law school is small and there is a lot of student to faculty interaction. It's easy to get residency and you can't beat the affordability. Let me know if there is anything else about UA you need to know.

Arizona vs Miami

I applied to Miami as a safety b/c they waived the app fee. I thought about Santa Clara vs UA but am thinking SC might be a better choice because I am more familiar with Cali & ultimately want to practice there. Good luck!
