SORRY EVERYBODY: I'm just so paranoid about admission committees taking time out of their, oh roughly, 1500 to 5000 reviewable applications to devote hours investigating this website to verify my information, assuming any applicational indiscrepancies posted on a peer discussion / bragging / scrutiny board would have any significant impact on my chances for admission at the school of the admission officer that actually has that much free time (breath)...whew! That's been bugging me for sooooo long now folks. I'll sure post some more information about myself once the smoke clears. Until then, we know they're always checking--right here--on law school numbers--because they don't have shit else to do.

01-18: Phone call from Nobody. Silmultaneous email from the same person.

01-20: PHONE CALL FROM MY MOTHER!!!! I'M IN at eight o'clock to pick up my laundry. Thank you, mother.

01-21: Just checked my answering machine, and I guess I'm going to have to get a restraining order against some guy named Toby Stock. He must be like some junior admissions volunteer at "Harway" or "Harvard"--something like that. I couldn't make it out between his sobs. Anyway, he keeps saying things about a full scholarship and guaranteed job placement on gradution. I guess I"m gonna have to *69 his ass next time and tell him I'm not interested. I'm gonna give him and his little school a piece of my mind AND inform him that groveling is so unbecoming. SHEESH!!!!

01-22: MCSL finally requested. It'd be much easier if I actually paid for the report, eh?
01-22: In at C to the Ooley. Large manilla envelope w/ 25% scholarship as long as I remain in good academic standing. It has now begun.

01-23: Apparently from looking at Ole Miss' time frames, they like to sit on applications until they hatch. All I wanted from them was a Rebels t-shirt anyway, preferably without chew or pitstains.

01-24: Emailed Creighton, OCU, Tulsa, UMKC, and Washburn for updates. All are either at committee or headed there within a week. Dayton also emailed--going to committee but will take possibly longer than six weeks for decision. Nice.

01-26: Received email from SIU. Gonna go out on a limb, given the length of said email, informing me a "letter informing you of the committee's decision" has been sent. Gonna go ahead and update this one to DINGED.
01-27: Dinged at Mizzou. If they could have put it in a smaller envelope, they would have. However, the Dean of Admissions encouraged me to transfer to MU in the Fall of 2008. What a nice person.
01-29: SIU confirmed. Not a Saluki now.
01-30: Tired of waiting. I'm withdrawing from ALL the schools. I'm going to walk the earth like a nomad for six years for perspective while I practice "freelance law" wherever I stop.
02-01: Withdrew from all schools I applied to, in addition to schools to which I never applied via MySpace profiles. I was very cordial, but I pointed out to all of them at the end that "O'doyle Rules!!"

02-02: Spoke w/ unnamed admission rep. who stated my letter was in the mail, but she could not tell me what it was. After I verified we were not speaking on a recorded line, I confirmed the answer rhymed with "Yes" instead of "No". That way, she has plausible deniability. Good times. I haven't gotten the letter yet, but I'm happy unless it's a sick-ass joke.
02-03: Received letter from Washburn stating I had made it to the 2nd round of reviews. I'm assuming that's similar to a deferral, but it's not a rejection. It would feel much better if I didn't already see people getting acceptances from there. I'll keep waiting for you, Ichabods.
02-05: Deferred at Creighton. AAARRRGGGHHHH.
02-09: Email from Dayton. IN. No mention of $$, but more info to follow in the mail in a week or two.
02-12: Waitlist letter from Capital. I sent back in my letter of intent, stating I will withdraw. Thanks for the great mail, though!
02-14: In at OCU, via large white envelope. Thanks y'all.
02-15: Called UMKC to check in after they said they would send me an email once my app. went to committee. Well, they must've forgotten that email since it went on 02-01. Still pending, though.
02-24: In at MCSL. Regular business envelope with a nice handwritten note about my PS from the Dean. Also, called UMKC (again) on 02-23. Decision was supposed to be back later that day, and I should hear this week. Tic, toc, tic, toc.

Careful what you wish for: Double ding in the mail today from UMKC and Drake. Currently preparing warm pile of feces for them to eat.
03-15: In at Washburn!!! Likely where I'll be going, but I'm still visiting OCU and Tulsa.
03-24: Rejected at Ole Miss. Not a big deal now. But thanks for the rejection letter for my collection, you uppety asshats. Cheerio!

Well, I believe my decision has been made. I've sent my seat deposit to Washburn, and I"ll be attending there this Fall. Exciting, exciting.
