had a mock interview the other day and they told us to be prepared
to explain your grade, if they would question it. good point.

here is what i'm gonna say:

"i see education as a product.
if i'm using a product that i purchased with my money,
of course i use it the way i want.

i paid for the law school and i'm gonna study the way i want.
grades? i can't care less. i do not confine myself to the
narrow range circumscribed by the class syllabus.
sometime i study outside the boundary, necessarily spending
the in-class material thereby.

i enjoy studying law and when it stops being enjoyable, i stop.
exam? nah. no stress. it's a good training in a sense that you work
harder than usual, a kinda simulation of busier day at work.
sure, i study harder than usual. but i don't stress it.
why? again, if i purchased a product, i did it to enjoy it, not suffer from it. This is a matter of principle. How absurd is the idea of paying to suffer?

so yes, my grade does not reflect my love and passion in law study."

now, here is the punch line.

"By the same token, if somebody pay me to render a product, I make it the way she wants. This is a matter of professional ethics.

Now, in case you are so shallow an employer that you're gonna judge me by some numbers,
i don't wanna work for you. go find someone else."

haughtiness is a virtue. it is attractive. it's like, 'don't talk to me until your head at least reaches my toe.' it's a sign of nobility. it is a virtue because the possessor holds himself and others to a higher standard.

arrogance is a vice. it is repulsive. it's like, 'i'm better than anyone around here.' it's a symptom of immaturity. it is a vice because the delusionist position himself higher than others.

Now. The law school stuff.
the lesson of the day is. This.

A lawyer's job. Is to protect your client's interest, not to advocate his cause. He may not realize his cause will eventually harm him. It is your job to make him realize the reality of law.

What good is it if you follow the desire of the client to go ahead with the trial only to lose it and damage your reputation?

You should not mind what he want you to do, or what you think is expected of you by your superior, or what an average lawyer would do in like circumstances. Your interest concerns only the best interest of the one who pays you-the client.

Be true to the law. Be true to the fact. Be true to yourself. The rest will follow the suit. Well, no pun intended.

Thank you on the comment I didn't see it until just recently. Are you strongly considering Texas? I see you have a lot of acceptances from other awesome schools. Congratulations
