Additional info & updates

Scholarship money is for all 3 years.

*Update* University of Tennessee scholarship offer was me paying in-state tuition which comes to about 18k/year

*Update 12/4* Rejected from U of Washington. Wasn't expecting to get in, but that doesn't make the news any easier. Good thoughts for the rest of the cycle!

*Update 12/2* Michigan State has asked for a video interview as they reviewed my application and are considering me for a 35k/yr scholarship. I'm so nervous!

*Update 12/17* Received my acceptance from University of Oregon today. They extended a $27,000 scholarship! With this being so close to home I am incredibly excited. I also made the difficult choice of withdrawing from Tennessee because there was a slim chance of me attending anyways. Best of luck to you all!

*12/18* Got an email today being acceoted by Seattle U with a 30k/yr scholarship! Beyond excited for that. The stipulations are that I stay in the top 50% of the class, which makes me a little timid. This decision isnt getting any easier.

*Update 12/21* I have withdrawn from Baylor. It has been on my list for a while now and was a tough choice, but I think my final decision has been made. Just waiting on the other 3 to get back to me.

*Update 12/23* Video interview went well with Michigan State apparently. I was offered a 75% scholarship (About 30,000/yr) with an additional $10,000 for my first year. Stipulations are keeping a 2.5. This is incredible.

*Update 1/25* Just got an email saying I was admitted to Ohio State! No scholarship information in the email but I'm so excited!

*Update 2/5* Marquette offer came in today at 19,000 per year as long as im a full time student. Nice offer that I am very grateful for!

*Update 3/2* Ohio was unable to offer a scholarship at this point in time, but did give me a grant of $2,500/year. I will automatically reconsidered when students begin withdraw from the school. Still very optimistic and I will be taking a trip to tour Moritz.

*Update 4/15* I asked Ohio State to reconsider my offer after the trip and was given an extra $10,000/yr with the only condition being that I am in good standing with the law school. I fell in love as soon as I set foot on campus and could not be any more excited to announce that I am going to be a Buckeye.

*Update 5/21* Oregon emailed me yesterday, after my application had been withdrawn, with a 3 year tuition waiver! that totals out to approximately $121,188. With this in mind, I think I have been flipped and will be attending University of Oregon!

Did you do the Early Decision program for University of Idaho?

Thursday, October 22 2015 at 12:48 AM

I applied as soon as the application opened, but I don't recall there being a section asking if I wanted to do early decision.

Were you an EA or RD applicant at OSU?

I was a regular decision. I didn't do any early decisions anywhere because of the inability to weigh my options as the cycle progressed.

Hello, quick question. How did Tennessee notify you when you were accepted? Did your status checker change at all through the process?

It did change, but I received a call about my acceptance before that.

Good to know! Thank you!

You were given an extra $30,000 a year to Ohio State ($90k in total)? Or just $30,000 in total? Thanks

Thursday, October 22 2015 at 12:48 AM

Sorry, lawyer2019, it is 30,000 total. I wrote that wrong. I will get 12,500 each year.

Whoa, awesome cycle! Congrats! I always joke that CU Boulder's favorite thing to do is wait list people...I'm expecting mine any day now ;) Good luck in Ohio!

30,000 in total for all 3 years, but I'm expecting it to increase again before I start!

Haha, I love it! Although, I may apply to OSU as well... but the fact that I would probably own an OSU hoodie is really drawing me away from applying...
