I'm almost positive that they're referred to as grants of various sorts. Also, I filled out the Need Access a couple of months ago which might be the difference. I think that's what Davis makes their final grant offers based off of. I believe they use the FAFSA to get a rough estimate and then finalize it after they receive Need Access. However, they make awards (or just continue them, I'm not sure) for the 2nd and 3rd years based solely on the FAFSA.
I got my Hastings stuff online (i forgot to post the scholly they gave me) and Davis I believe came through snail mail...not positive though, I might have forgotten. Sorry,this whole process has basically become a blur.
congrats to you too! (on Vandy and on your killer GPA :) ) I called and we are supposed to get financial aid info in a week or so, doesn't leave much wiggle room for decision timing.... You planning to go?
Down to Emory and WUSTL alongside Vandy at this point--had to withdraw the others along the line...maybe I'll see you in the fall!
Hi, congrats on all your acceptances. I'm WLd at UC Davis and am asking that if you don't plan on attending, to please withdraw. Hopefully, this will improve my chances at going to my top choice school this Fall. Thanks!!
Thanks! There's a financial aid section of the admitted student's website that allows you to view your financial aid info. You have to create a computing account through the University first however. Good luck with your decision!
