UC Irvine - 10k in scholarship 5k in need based grant

Additional info & updates

01/30/12 - Decision Rendered at both USD and Pepperdine. So nervous to hear back from my first schools. Hopefully snail mail doesn't take forever.

02/03/12 - Got both acceptance packets back from Pepperdine and San Diego!! Best day ever. It feels amazing to have those first acceptances out of the way. The scholarship for Pepperdine is renewable each year as long as I stay in top 1/3 of the class. Way, way more money than I expected!!!

02/09/12 - Decision Rendered at Loyola. I should hear from them in 7 days, but I won't be home next week, so it'll have to wait for a while....

02/14/12 - Away from home and I still get amazing news!!!!! IN at Irvine!!! Real life??? So happy that they want me!! Hoping for some scholarship, but I've heard that takes a while... I'll just continue to jump around my hotel room though!!!!!

02/19/12 - Came home after a week away to an acceptance packet from Loyola. The scholarship comes with a 3.2 GPA stip. Also got my acceptance letter from Irvine! :) I'm still overjoyed about that one.

02/24/12 - Irvine scholarship came today!!! Again, I'm excited I got anything. Only a 2.0 GPA stip. Still unsure between Irvine and Pepperdine, but I'll wait to hear back from the reach schools. Planning on going to both ASWs.

03/06/12 - Waitlisted via email at UCLA!!!!!!! Literally started to hyperventilate reading it. I will send in LOCI after LOCI after LOCI. If they let me in the day of orientation, I would die happy. Visits and emails must be made to Dean Schwartz. With my numbers, I'll gladly work my butt off to get into UCLA.

03/11/12 - I received my scholarship for San Diego today. It's still a shock to get that much. However, I'll be withdrawing from Loyola and SD fairly soon. In the mean time, I'm nearly done with my first LOCI for UCLA. It'll be sent tonight.

03/27/12 - I went to UC Irvine's ASW this past weekend and absolutely fell in love. Depending on UCLA and USC I will be an anteater in the fall. Even if I do get admitted to these other places... Still not sure I'd choose them over UCI. It's perfect. I'm very very positive that irvine can give me a great education as well as great job placement opportunities. :)

04/08/12 - Submitted my SIR for UC Irvine. Withdrawing from everywhere else but USC but merely because I finally got a first committee read. I couldn't be happier with my choice! It's a fantastic school that is going to make me successful. Zot Zot!

04/19/12 - I've gotten the good news of qualifying for a need based grant for Irvine. I'm adding it on to the scholarship section!! :) less debt for me!!

Well I sent in a letter of continued interest to UCLA, but now I'm sold on Irvine. Going to be an anteater in the fall!!
