Additional info & updates

I have applied to 9 schools so far all with the help of the LSAC Fee waiver with plans to apply to at least 6 more (I know its getting late)

I started as an engineering major and have 2 F's on my transcript from that period that are bringing my GPA down. I am hoping that my the upward trend in my GPA will be considered by the law schools I am applying to.

*Fingers crossed as I wait for my first replies*

-decided to apply for Phoenix, like everyone else most likely due to the scholarship offer and as a safety since I haven't received any replies yet.

1/17/2012
-Accepted via Online status to University of Maine! definitely a relief to be in somewhere.
-Status at FIU states that a decision has been reached and a letter has been mailed, so hoping its good news!

1/19/2012
-Received a letter from FIU today. Says they will hold my application for further review. Not sure if this is essentially a denial or what.

2/7/2012
-Received a letter from Michigan yesterday. I was rejected. It was a reach, so i didn't have my hopes up too much. Hopefully I can hear from some of the other schools soon.

2/9/2012
-Noticed that my date had changed on Lewis and Clark's status checker but the status was the same. So, I gave the admissions office a call and found out I was accepted! Definitely good news. It's certainly at the top of my list of where I might go.

2/24/2012
-Accepted to Phoenix Law on 2/22

4/9/2012
-I guess someone either withdrew or didn't pay their seat deposit because I am in at FIU! I am leaning heavily towards this school but still waiting for Howard and GSU.

4/18/2012

- I was accepted to FAMU with no scholarship as of yet and Howard with a scholarship that covers approx. 1/3. To some people Howard may seem like the most obvious choice but I'm stuck between FIU, FAMU, and Howard.

5/9/2012

-So its been a long tough decision but I decided FAMU was best for me. Being from Florida, the $5000 scholarship and the already low tuition made it so that I could afford to make less coming out of law school. Howard was tempting and obviously a great choice but the move just wasn't for me at this time.

Thanks. Yeah, I know FAMU's law school is in a different city than the undergrad campus. Good luck in your cycle,I will keep my fingers crossed for you. What's your first choice?

Thanks! Do you know whether your status or anything on that page changed since you were put on hold in January to getting the decision now?
