I realize I am a longshot. Perhaps they need a guy like me. After all...Princeton could use a guy like Joel.

3/19 Learned of Texas Wesleyan acceptance via email invitation to Admitted Students Open House.

3/22 Letter via snail mail from Texas Wesleyan offering $25k "Faculty Scholarship" $12.5k first year and $6.25k second and third year upon maintaining rank in top 25%.

I assumed that I would be accepted at TW but did not expect $. All my other applications are reaches so it is nice to have this acceptance especially because it is local (35 miles from my home in Dallas). SMU would be ideal. As for NW...It is an excellent fit for my interests and I had $100 to burn on a roll of the dice.

4/13 Thought I'd share some more info. Tech went "File in Review 3/9" on status checker and it has stayed that way since. UofH went "File in Review" 4/12. SMU has remained "Application Completed" since 2/18. NW remains "Complete".

4/19 SMU status checker shows "decision rendered" for the first time. I checked it about 10:00am. 4/19 is a Monday. Now I just wait for a phone call or snail mail.

4/22 received short to the point rejection letter from SMU via mail. I knew it was a longshot, especially for FT.

4/28 DOH! Rejected from Northwestern via PDF on status checker. Of course. Now I don't have to worry about moving to Chicago. That would have been awful. :)

4/29 Rejected from Tech via mail. I probably would have picked Wesleyan over Tech anyway. I'm not interested in moving to Lubbock. Probably shouldn't have applied. Status checker at UofH changed to today's date but still says "in review".

Hi Fixer. I too am married with kids, and 10+ years out of UG. :) I am also waiting on the Feb LSAT. Man the time is dragging..... I don't have super high expectations, but not knowing is KILLING me. Good luck!!

Hey when did you find out about tech? Sorry to hear about that, but I'm on the wait list and I've made it through a few rounds, so I'm just wondering when the next group of letters and decisions is being made? good luck w/everything
