Additional info & updates

Feel free to comment/message if you have any questions. I will update frequently as more news comes in.

1/8/2013 - Applied to Barry University College of Law, Ave Maria School of Law, Mississippi College School of Law, University of Mississippi School of Law, and Florida Coastal School of Law.

1/18/2013 - Got a call this morning congratulating my acceptance to Mississippi College!

1/21/2013 - Applied to Memphis, Samford, Stetson, and Mercer.

1/23/2012 - Accepted at FCSL via Online Status Checker

1/27/2013 - 10,000/year scholarship to FCSL

1/29/2013 - Accepted at Ave Maria School of Law with $8,000/year scholarship via email.

2/14/2013 - Rejected at Stetson. It was a long shot, I know, but I would have loved to attend.

2/17/2013 - Applied to U of Arkansas Little Rock, Loyola New Orleans, Southern University, and Faulkner University.

2/19/2013 - Accepted to Mercer Law! Probably the best news I have gotten so far.

2/20/2013 - Accepted to University of Arkansas - Little Rock School of Law. I must say I'm pretty pleased with my cycle so far.

2/21/2013 - Accepted to Loyola New Orleans. Very excited.

2/27/2013 - Accepted to Faulkner Jones School of Law via online status checker. Nothing in mail yet.

3/1/2013 - After having my application put on "hold" (waitlisted) at Barry, I was reevaluated and was accepted there today via online status checker. Also, received email stating that my acceptance packet and "scholarship award" was arriving in the mail soon. Not sure on scholarship yet, but I'm sure the packet will give me an idea.

3/2/2013 - Received acceptance packet to Faulkner University Jones School of Law and said I had received a scholarship for 20% tuition forgiveness. Based on this year's tuition times 20%, it is roughly $6,600/year.

3/25/2013 - My scholarship offer at Arkansas Little Rock is only for the first year. It's an in-state scholarship where I won't have to pay out-of-state tuition for the first year, and after that I can apply for residency, which will also allow in-state tuition. I put $13,000 because that is the rough estimate of difference between in- and out-of-state tuition.

Hello, I too have received an acceptance at Samford. I was wondering what your impression of Samford's Program? Have you visited the campus? Thanks.

Thanks!

Congrats to you as well. Definitely a good feeling getting acceptance letters. I suppose we are getting the last laugh with our English degrees, eh? :)

Hard to say where I'm leaning completely at this time. I have a feeling I'll end up at Whittier (close to friends/family, high bar pass rate), however, TJSL is in downtown San Diego - and is literally paradise. Tough! Where are you leaning as of now? Are you beginning to look at an emphasis within your J.D.?

Congrats..

hey..Girlfolaw.. i found out with my acceptance letter that i got a dean's scholarship. Congratulations on your acceptances. I think Loyola is my top choice, but i have so many schools to wait for. Let me know what you decide - let's stay in touch.

I'm thinking about civil rights as well actually. This was definitely an exciting cycle, acceptances are less predictable when you're a "reverse-splitter" (low lsat, mid/high gpa). We've done pretty well, considering.
