Dont feel too bad about that rejection, they probably just forced you to go to a school that will give you a great scholarship. Less debt opens a lot of doors at graduation. Make sure before you accept an offer from either place you tell them what the other school is offering and ask them if they can give you any more scholarship money...negotiation/asking is a big part of how that game is played.
