Additional info & updates

Scholarship Money is per year.

Took the December LSAT and sent out applications in mid-January. Hoping to get into UW, as I live in Madison and went there for undergrad.

1/25: A little surprised at the people Madison is putting on the waitlist. Must be getting some serious apps this year. Fingers crossed.

2/2: Went complete at Madison on the 29th, I'm sure it'll be a while before I hear, though.

2/5: Phone call from Michigan State. Accepted with 75% tuition scholarship. Really nice to get the feeling that somebody wants me, .....(hint, hint, Madison)

2/6: Letter and package from Cooley. Obviously not a highly ranked school, but a full scholarship is nice.

2/11: In at Hamline via phone call. 75% scholarship to the weekend program. Pretty nice to get that news. Am I greedy for wanting a full ride?

2/12: In at William Mitchell via package in the mail. Absolutely no scholarship money, which is confusing. I see that lots of other people with my numbers or worse have gotten some serious scholarships.

3/18: Waitlisted at Baylor via email. Others with lower stats have been accepted (some with scholarships), but I'm not too upset. I'll save that for my answer from Wisconsin.
2/17: In at DePaul via email. Acceptance packet to follow via snail mail.

2/19: Packet from DePaul. Decent scholarship offered. Also a cool T-Shirt. Packet from St. Thomas on same day. Full tuition.

2/20: Letter from William Mitchell. They found some money and are offering me 75% tuition.

2/23: Call from SLU informing me I am a finalist for the 1843 Scholars Program.

2/24: Small Envelope from Marquette alerting me to my acceptance. No scholarship info, but when I called I was told it may still be coming.

2/27: Package from Hofstra. Full tuition renewable with 3.25. Called Madison only to find out they haven't even looked at my app yet and it will be at least "a few more weeks."

3/30: No news is good news?

I was a little bit surprised as well, but I wasn't sure what to expect from them. I figured Wisonsin and Indiana would be the more competitive two of them, Iowa and OSU. Still waiting on those two, and hopefully the news is better (I consider OSU my top "realistic" choice). Good luck!

Wisco is being odd

GL with Wisco. They're being strange this year with no movement at 161 (their normal wall) and 160s are nearly always getting on the waitlist or rejected. what gives!

Congrats

Congrats on the the MSU call and the money. She must have called you almost at the same time she called me. It is nice to know it is a real option to go to school without getting into a lot more debt.

It's all good. I'm not finished yet. They start admitting off the waitlist in May, so I still have hope. Good luck to you as well!
